read this post an hour ago and I've been crying since
The Hobbit was great, I don't see why people couldn't stand 48fps though - it didn't make that much of a difference except that it was better and smoother. Loved the film, and realised it's almost pretty much a remake of The Fellowship of The Ring.

I didn't like the amount of cgi they put into it. How is it a remake of the fellowship anyway?
But yeah great movie.

Yeah there was a bit too much CGI, it didn't feel as dark as Lortr, but then again the book isn't either.
If you try to recap the events of the films you'll realise it's sequentially very similar.

I talk about it in the thread in the films and tv subsection.
the hobbit movie is p bad
trying way too hard to make a children's book into an action epic

I disagree, the book is pretty epic and the film was great :v:

Hell, Lord of The Rings is the same in another way, the books aren't nearly as epic or eventful as the films, for a different reason.
I disagree, the book is pretty epic
he meant epic as in genre of film.
he meant epic as in genre of film.
I'd say the book comes pretty close to that genre, as close as a book can get atleast.
it's a fine movie if you like hollywood fluff but I'm a pretentious asshole so just ignore literally everything I say ever
If you consider the Lortr books and movies, then it makes sense how The Hobbit would be pretty action filled compared. But yes I agree, it would be more awesome if there wasn't as much CGI and it wasn't terribly... well, the dwarves make some stunts and moves with their weapons that were pretty overkill and impossible even compared to the Lortr films.
