I might come hang out here in this subforum for a while starting next year (25 mins for me), since one of the things I've decided to put as a new years resolution is to get back into discovering music. Since pretty much all of 2012 I've not really has as much of an interest.

At our new years party today (I've stayed home while everyone else left to go into the town around 20 minutes ago), my older brothers' friend put on some music he'd recently been listening to saying "kind of weird dance music", which is the genre "Skweee". Wikipedia lists its stylistic origins as: 8-bit chiptune, minimal techno, electro, funk, R&B, soul, Middle Eastern rhythms.

It's actually really neat.

Listening to the album now and in retrospect that was a poor choice of track. The bleeps are a lot more annoying this time around too (sort of). These bleeps are like little multicoloured flourescent mice to my ears.
