but when i was in cadets we wore our combats with bar lacing
it's a military thing because if your boot gets caught in something it's the easiest way to be able to cut the laces
and some people prefer the look i guess
plus criss-cross allows for a tighter fit

honestly there isn't much your boot could get caught in that wouldn't either take off your foot or that it would be just as easy to cut the thing your boot is stuck on, and it's not like laces are particularly hard to cut anyway

dubstep's become the new autotune, something people tack on to make the track relevant
when you take that away all it is is a woman playing a violin in a completely unemotional way
I used to hate dubstep and then i stepped off the bandwagon
it's not great music by any means but I can tolerate it now. I hear it every weekend at parties and when someone else has control of the aux cable/ipod dock.
Plus, it's alright to dance to. I hear it a lot in town on fridays/saturdays.

no dubstep had a lot of potential when it was blunted out kids in london making dance tracks the opposite of what was the fashion (big giant beats going 150 bpm with big synths).
but somewhere along the line it got popular and now everyone apes it
i still really like untrue, klavierwerke, and clouds are mountains but it's become schlock now, not to mention skrillex who put 80's metal synths behind the whole thing.
