my mate saw alcest at bloodstock and he thought they were boring. My other mate who also saw them likes what he calls "pussy metal" and even he admitted that they aren't fun to see live.
imo I wouldn't call them a metal band [I]at all[/I] by this point, i did kind of like their early eps when I got round to hearing them but i've heard better shoegaze anyways
one of the album had some yelled/screamed vocals but they were more of an instrument than vocals because they were incomprehensible

Been watching The Road from 2009, though the stream failed at about 1h 24min in so I'll watch the rest later. Since I'm watching with no subtitles and they speak low I have to turn the sound up quite a lot, the consequence was when they got to the mansion cellar fuckin' hell I was not prepared.
I find myself comparing it to The Book of Eli while watching, and I must say The Road is definitely a better movie.
dunno why I'm posting this in the music chat thread, I'm supposed to write an analysation of why the father keeps sticking with his son in psychology class.
I personally didn't like The Road that much.
Sometimes it went for that dark, gritty feel and then suddenly something completely happy-go-lucky happens and breaks the atmosphere.
I liked The Road, especially the scenes where they were in the woods. Post-apocalyptic woods are always awesome.

as much as I love Death Grips, it's quite far from my AOTY so far. Not even the best hip hop record for me.

I have to agree with Akz on his lil shouting rant, I've shown ex military to alot of people and they all have said its too aggressive for them.
Book of Eli was pretty good film not sure about any post apocalyptic others though...
