Are there any other good post-apocalyptic films? I mean films that use that setting?
An obvious one would be I Am Legend. The Quiet Earth is also one that comes to mind but it's not really the same kind of setting.
book of eli is fucking terrible
denzel Washington needs to stop doing so meny fucking action films cos it makes me hate him. his films are like 80% shit but he's a good actor. all his films are just boring pulp fiction (altho higher budget) its like what Bruce Campbell says. Hollywood's fucking full of crappy b-movies. transformers are all b movies. book of eli is a b. most of these shitty horrors are dumb b-movies. sadly absolutely none of them have the charm of a good b-movie (as much of an oxymoron as that is)
training day and American gangster were ok I guess and inside man was surprisingly decent (although carried mostly by clive Owen not Washington)
man on fire almost put me to sleep
I wanna see Malcolm x tho. reckon he'll be good in that.

I am legend also sucks because it misses the point of the book by fucking miles. good film in its own right (but horrendous ending) but after reading the book nd understanding its meaning and symbolism the film is just terrible. is recommend watching it but then read the book afterwards.
walking dead is good but its a series. literally all the characters are cardboard characters and walking stereotypes though. Rick owned in ep1 but then became a generic hero archetype which was lame.

watch on the beach. 1959 post apocalypse film starring Anthony Perkins (norman bates from Hitchcocks psycho) its fucking brilliant. bleak and depressing as shit but the best post apocalypse film ive ever seen
the only good part of I Am Legend was when the dog died

Ive cried to a film before it was Toy Story 3
[editline]28th September 2012[/editline]
Wait sorry MGS4 is a movie i guess that counts too
I cry a lot at anime but most of it is because I am the kind of person who watches anime.
MGS4 also made me shed a tear.
never cried at a movie
I almost cried at the end of The Dark Knight Rises
I probably would have too before [sp]the movie decided to go "lol he didn't actually die"[/sp]
as much as I love Death Grips, it's quite far from my AOTY so far. Not even the best hip hop record for me.
the reason it's AOTY for me is bc there aren't really any other good releases this year tbh
at the beginning of 2012 it was like "OMG SO MANY NEW GREAT RELEASES COMING THIS YEAR!!" and then when they got released it was mostly just "meh its ok"
I never have anything to look forward to at the beginning of a new year music wise
the bands I do like tend to release disappointing albums and it's happened time after time after time, the older stuff is always better
the only good music released in the current year is the stuff you discover that was released that year that was actually good. Favourite bands/artists have a habit of letting you down
Oh I forgot about Sleeper by Disfiguring The Goddess. Also pretty good album, even though it's not the best by DTG imo

I never got why everyone said it was super sad I never really did.
the only film I've cried at is the notebook (srs) like I've welled up and that at a couple but I cried at the notebook man. best romance film ever no shame its an amazing movie
Have you always been a movie critic mikey?

I'm incredibly jealous for this guy
In Germany there is a new musician, his name is Cro. He promotes himself as a rapper, although mixed with pop. He calls it "Roap", a hybrid of both. This guy got a shitton of attention because he had some great hits. Besides he has something about him, he is really laid back and wears a panda mask. His interviews are really awesome because he is really an honest guy and also talks about all his business. He has a label now and is actually really successful and still young.
Usually I hate these one hit wonders and I am not a fan of pop, besides his rhymes are somewhat questionable. But for christ sake I love his songs so much, I do not know why. They are so fuckin catchy :v:
I have a new chart sin, nobody needs to know.
Although he gets overhyped as fuck, media is calling him a new revolution in german rap. He is not really a rapper. Medias can be so dumb.
I had the best night last night and just saw Defeater tonight and they fucking killed. Top fucking band.
defeater own they look like they'd be good live. i wanna go to a gig not been to one in a while. goin 2 a proper emo gig in november tho-- mite cry
they are amazing if you get the chance to see them do it it's worth all the money

[editline]28th September 2012[/editline]
I should've gone out tonight

student loan is coming in soon
god i can practically taste the rum
general question
spirits, or weaker alcohol (beer, wine, cider etc)
rum, whisky and absinthe
Whiskey is my favourite
A while back I was drinking with some friends, and we bought some American Honey and some other spirit and that's all we drank that night. Apparently I got pretty hammered and I woke up the next day without a hangover at all.
I think that if you drink purely spirits you get that "clean" feeling the day after opposed to mixing wines with beer, not literally but drinking both
but if you're drinking weaker stuff its gotta be an ale. ciders good too.
