note the actual reference I used was an image I found in my ref folder - it was a colour corrected version of the stock I linked to. Was significantly brighter and less awful looking than the image I linked to

Just practicing weird anatomy. Spent four hours trying to get it right but ended up rubbing it all off and having some nasty case of sleep deprivation. I used another sheet and drew with a softer pencil and turned out half-decent at least
It feels like the direction the helmet is facing and the direction the face is looking are two different directions, which is visually confusing.
Anyway, I have more clay:
The assignment was to make a teapot. It's supposed to be the Quetzalcoatl or some similar Mesoamerican feathered serpent coiled up around that calendar stone that had everyone in a fuss about the apocalypse last year.

if the liquid is supposed to come out from the mouth, then you wouldnt be able to fill it to the brim since the mouth is lower than the brim. Technical error, other than that its pretty cool

Dropping in some new stuff where I try to bring back alive my old style within industrial/hardcore techno genres, if you're one of those rare people who enjoyed the production of a nobody like me back in the 2008-2010 then here's definitely something for your genitals to fawn upon. Female sounds by Ajaa, everything else including the art is done by me and my small hands.
If you don't know what Hardcore Techno I am referring to, when searching for 'hardcore techno' from youtube you find two kinds of 'hardcore'.. ones with smiley faces, bright lights everywhere, flowery background scenery as background image (as well as perhaps accompanied with an appealing anime girl too), this is either UK hardcore or Happy hardcore.. and then theres the gothic dark side with skulls, murder, despair and well just 'darkness' everywhere. This one comes forth with the second kinda approach with aggressive stomping beats and silly macabre themes.
People call this specific subgenre which I attempt "darkcore", most noticeable traits of this subgenre is that there's no melody (or very little) and bass drums are dirty and bassy as hell, hard and rhythmic noisy beats are always a big bonus in this genre. For further investigation you can youtube it as well. In case you're a big follower of dubstep, try imagining the dirtiest possible basslines as single kick drums, there you go the basic and generic idea behind Hardcore/Darkcore. Industrial Metal fans might enjoy the ending bit where I put in some riffs as well, don't get your hopes up though if you're in it with a classic metal taste in mouth for there's hardly any skill behind the guitar performance plus whatever guitar there is, is heavily technofied and FXed. Little something I tried out in a stead of panic while not figuring out what else to do. Lyrics have no meaning whatsoever, they are there just for the sake of vocal presence. Whatever mumble you hear is either screaming/grunting or both Finnish and English. Try to enjoy it and give in some feedback if you got the time.

How do you people do it? I cannot draw anything from imagination, and I mean anything.
Copy stuff using reference? No big deal. But even after envisioning the thing I want to do, I just fail somehow, it feels and looks wrong right from the start.
