Apart from the fact I just realised her butt connects to her waist, anyone want to shed some light on my ~anatomy~ for me?
First glance, her legs are too long and her limbs/neck are too thin. She's missing an arm and the bust hip ratio seems too low. Her torso doesn't widen at the ribcage, for instance.
All in all it seems to be an outline with little to no consideration for bones or muscles.

With the arm, during the sketching process anywhere I put it that looked right, it wasn't visible. If it was visible it looked too big and disproportionate.
I wouldn't consider her limbs to be too thin. Actual humans I know have legs thinner than hers (but I know the right leg is a tad thin that was just from laziness,) but I can understand about the arms, but that'll come from the fact I never draw them because they're a weak point of mine.
For the rib cage I would say she has one and I, uh, I don't know what you mean by hip to bust ratio.
Thanks for your input though, I'll go change a few things.

Just at your local art store? I ended up just getting 10 sheets from a local Michaels for 15 dollars or so.

Arms seem a tad long, bust is short. You would probably mostly benefit from just looking up a simple list of proportion and applying. It.
(Ideal proportions being 7.5-8 heads tall)
1 head for head
1 head to nipple hight (on males, same area on females but might not line up to the nipple obv)
1 head to the belly button
1 head to crotch *
1 head to mid thigh
1 head to just below knee
1 head to mid shin/ a little lower
1 head to ground
(Also each arm section should be 1 head)
*females are more commonly shorter in this area, as the hip bones are tilted differently to males which are more straight, taking off a little hight.

So we've been tasked with making a motion graphics intro vignette for Diamond Awards, a student awards our school arranges, together with 3 others we compromised ourselves to this end product that I and another guy animated in After Effects together.
We worked together with 3 different groups from the sound & music line on our school so there are 3 versions.
The one we preferd the most:

Our music style reference was electro swing. Our inspiration are intros like Catch Me If You Can, the art deco style basically. As you can probably guess the point was to introduce the different lines the school has.

Heyoo! I've been trying out some new styles and my gosh it's much more fun than my usual cup of tea. I made the first one on my lunch-break with a mouse (and my god it went slow) and the second one was more of a test. I've never drawn landscapes/nature etc. It's also a WIP. Gotta put some more stuff in there.

Autumn-ish birch (at least that's what I think they're called.) forest. Still trying to figure out what and how to put anything in front of it.
Do note that this is my very first try at something like this so every piece of cc I can get is very much appreciated!

really needs some reflected light on the underside of the toad and deeper shadows. right now the toad looks pasted on to an oddly saturated background

also colour contrasts - more red/orange in the shadows from the blue/green light
Hey guys, long time no post.
I've had a hell of a last 3 years. I'm trying to leave behind the life I have here in this rural shithole full of assholes so I'm applying to Uni.
Here's what I came up with from my design task - it basically shows my past and what i hope my future to be, with me "pushing" to get to my future.

Also, totally fucked up and found out that the deadline is 5pm tomorrow, so this was all rushed today so it is not the best I can make but it's all I could do in a few hours worth of school.

Also, where do I start with trying to paint in photoshop? [Yes I have a bamboo tablet]

Made changes based on suggestions (plus added her right hip.)
Left a couple of things though like the neck and the leg length due to them just being like that for effect and personal preference.
Even though the head guide is a good thing to use, I generally draw big heads and why I try to use it things look wrong to me, as well as, like I said with the legs, sometimes these proportions aren't what I want. I used them a lot when I was younger to get a general idea but now I just prefer not to since I have trouble getting things down in general and doing it technically will just demolish any inspiration I may have in the first place, but I'll keep it in mind for checking my art afterwards, so thanks.
can anyone please link me to that program that instantly generates perspective lines?

Fair enough, I find it useful even if using a larger head size, because the body should still have a relational proportion so you can pick from the arm length and work with that to check the body in related parts.
Looks a lot better with her hips added in, only changes I really notice that I would make now is her upper arm still seems long (It's longer than her lower arm, which should be about equal), and her stomach bump seems a bit high. I would probably drop it and her belly button a bit
overall looking better :)
so I've been trying to use my tablet, and it detects motion and everything, but it's not pressure sensitive like it was before, and it feels like I'm using a mouse
you guys got any solutions?

Try deleting and redowloading your drivers, usually fixes that problem

I suppose you mean Sketchup?
But you do know PS has a perspective tool right
I think perhaps he means a plugin for photoshop that creates perspective lines on the canvas easily
There's a brush out there somewhere that does a similar thing, but I'm not sure what it is sorry
[editline]1st March 2013[/editline]
OH Mako I thought you meant the transform>perspective tool that you use to take an image and apply it to a surface following perspective
Perhaps you meant Filter>Vanishing Point, which, once you've opened it, you can use to draw perspective grids on your work. I had no idea it existed but it'll make it a lot easier I think

Between the pelvis and bellybutton there's a really weird perspective shift, it doesn't look like the two halves of the body belong together. The legs being proportionally too long don't help with that either.
more stuff

Oh my mistake, it's Painter that has an editable vert/horizontal perspective grid you can just turn on
