Picked up my graphics tablet again after not using it for nearly a year.
My first proper and serious work with it.
The mask itself is not done by any stretch, still considering redrawing it entirely and going with another design on it.

Don't worry about materials rendering, or rendering at all just yet. Just try some lines drawings to start off. Life is ideal but from a photograph is acceptable too; try to reproduce what you see.

really? he kinda looks like an apple. i don't know whether it's the cleanness of the rendering or whether it's the specular that is off-putting but the material looks a bit off. it's really cool that you can do such clean and smooth rendering but i don't know whether it's a bit misplaced here

I meant as in, cleaning up the edges a bit, i plan on making it look a bit more war torn later on that and add more detail/decals on it.

Comp bugs me though. I like the idea of the boy getting lost in the value of the tree since he's hiding, but the vignetting other on the left gets on my wick
Also the path into the light would look great without that drone thing, but with it in there the scale is all fucked up. It looks like it's either massive and very distant, or tiny and level with the tree. I can see it's supposed to be in the midground but the values are so dark it's trying to slip backwards or forwards
