Got a new sketchpad today. The paper's thinner than the last one but it's rougher. Rough enough for me to get the sketches darker than usual even with 4H, at least.

My friend let me borrow his glidecam so I shit this out. While I put a lot of work into it, it's still terrible. I figured I'd show it here because I don't want to offend all of the competent photography people. And yes, it's ~artsy~ on purpose. I'll be overdubbing it with mundane and irrelevant Russian narration just to drive the point home.

I actually kinda liked it. It goes well with the music, and it's pretty cool despite trying to be sarcastically ~deep~. A lot of people could take it seriously when you add gibberish narration and close-ups of homeless people.

Thanks a lot, really useful, though in this specific case I made his face that flat intentionally. The matter is that I wanted it to look a bit cartoonish, but it appears that I just made it look like a shit.

on a scale of hideous to 10, how do the faces look
How do i go about setting up Photoshop for painting? I remember seeing someone make a comparison of different settings that related to the way brush strokes blended.
For the life of me I can't remember what it was but could someone run me through getting started?

The lighting and the feel of the environment look really good to me.
However the people are WAY too muddy looking. Especially in the face.
I just realized, that picture has a ton of artifacts.

Doh, gave up on this after I realised that I'd accidentally merged the perspective grid into the painting a long while back :v: Might actually redo this though, I think it could be quite cool if it was refined.

I thought it was an intentional futuristic effect until you said what it actually was. I really like it as is.
add more grid to it, kinda reminds me of the animus thingy in assasin's creed infused with lord of the rings
