On second thought, it might not be him. In the beginning, he kinda sounds like him, but as the clip goes on, It starts to sound less and less like him. I tried googling it, but I am finding nothing Googling Bob Odenkirk and Zootopia.
:snipped: I liked what we got, but I kind of want to see how this would've turned out.
but again, that plot plants collars and distrust as a long-standing societal norm by that point, that predators were ALWAYS seen as untrustworthy and violent since the founding of the city, it's hard to fix that without it being some magic happy ending BS.
Honestly, I think this story could've worked well enough.
Man, where did this movie go? The movie we got was alright, but this seems so much more interesting and emotional than the [sp]"little guy against the bigger guy cliché" and the "Fight for freedom" sounds more motivating than "Fight for a good job"[/sp]. Honestly, I feel like the story could've definitely worked. Maybe it wouldn't have been a realistic or even a happy ending, but I'd take it in exchange for scenes like these. Not like they can change it now, I just don't think it would've failed.
I admit, the original plot might have been more interesting and emotional, but I think the final product is more than alright. Its a well written and animated movie, and I'm kinda shocked a love story between the fox and rabbit wasn't shoehorned in.

I'm just really curious to see how this idea would've panned out.
I'm kinda shocked a love story between the fox and rabbit wasn't shoehorned in.
imagine if dreamworks made it
The tame collar idea could work on a prequel.
The tame collar idea could work on a prequel.
50's style segregation and civil rights movement prequel when
The tame collar idea could work on a prequel.
A prequel wouldn't make sense seeing as the two main characters already know each other. It would have to be set in an alternative universe.
The tame collar idea could work on a prequel.
the fear of predators being dangers to society wasn't a thing until the middle of the movie, and resolved at the end. It'd only really work as an offshoot during the months after judy [sp]resigns[/sp] and when the culprit is caught at the end. Even then, a huge part of that would have been what they planned for shakira's gazelle story arc, BUT they shoehorned that into the final movie the form of the peaceful protest scene, negating any connection to the collar story pretty thoroughly. Originally her big role was to stage a show, where as a protest she gets tiger backup dancers to take off their collars and perform alongside her to show she trusts predators. Given some concept art, it looks like the show gets crashed by [sp]getting darted with night howler syrum[/sp] [t]http://66.media.tumblr.com/6de7440b762ccbbf60a8a0e2274efae6/tumblr_o5ms86Z3mU1rwyx9ko1_500.jpg[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/UeZZ2Iy.jpg[/t] the sad thing behind this one is [sp]the night howler stuff didn't originally make them go mindlessly savage, but revert to basic primal instincts (thus predators would be aggressive and see prey as food/chew toys). Nick seems to have gotten darted in this storyboard too, but because of the relationship built up to that point he turns and protects judy[/sp] like it's a super interesting story, and would have been cool/adventurous, but I don't think it would have stood out as a good disney movie. There's a lot of things that look really cool in concept but the way they add to the rest of the movie can often get really disjointed or detract from the audience's enjoyment of the plot, even at its very foundation. There were some things in the final cut I felt really dragged on too long and took up screentime that other [still plot-relevant] cut scenes could have used, but given the amount of revisions and screening they did for this right up to release, it's pretty interesting to see how much they really sacrificed to get it to work
or just different characters
I was going to say that but, I like the existing characters. :v:
I was going to say that but, I like the existing characters. :v:
Similar characters then.
