I played skyrim before the leveling system was updated and was a two handed fighter with healing skillz. I was invincible and it made the game completely crap for me. I just spammed left and right click on everything and won. Ruined Skyrim for me. And I only have myself to blame. :v:
I always loose interested after a while. Just stops becoming fun for me. Can't wait for a Fallout 4 though.

I reached that point on expert difficulty so i upped it to master and found it more challenging but still relatively easy. Legendary makes it more challenging to. However, Bethesda doesn't know how to scale things and assume hardest difficulty means no scaling and just making enemies have 3x as much heath.

I am of the opinion I shouldn't have to. I used to choose hardest difficulty for games but I inevitably got stuck halfway through and stopped playing. I probably shoulda shifted it up a tad. Still there are very few games that get difficulty right. I still think Oblivion's system was better. I did have one awesome moment in Skyrim with a frost troll that I couldn't beat (the only thing ever I couldn't.) I lured it away from where I wanted to go and doubled back on it. If there was more of that kind of thing where you could avoid combat like that it would have been awesome. I have only finished these linear/story based games (I have started so many more): Mass effect 1 Half life 2 series Nightfire (the first story based game I finished) Some CoD games because they are 0 seconds long Uh... I will update that list if I think of anything else... but I am pretty sure that is it. :/
Here, have some pictures of my cat. She's a Bengal and has bothered me all night while I'm trying to work. I'm getting back at her by posting pictures of her online. By default most game select normal which is meant for people who sometimes play those types of games where it's not incredibly easy and that's it. Don't expect normal to be always perfect for your play style. Try knocking it up a bit. Also you can play the whole game without engaging in direct combat like that. The main story line not so much but in TES games the main story line was always completely optional, the game is open from the start for you to do what you want. Also Oblivion uses the same difficulty system as does fallout 3 and NV (except for hardcore). Bethesda as a whole does not know how to properly scale and just up enemy health, even morrowind had this problem.
I signed up to donate plasma. I'll get more money from that in a week, than in two weeks working at Subway...

In Skyrim it is possible to encounter monsters that are far too hard and monsters far too easy. In Oblivion all monsters scale up. As for normal difficulty in my opinion it should be challenging enough that some skill at least isrequired to get through the game. If that is too hard you turn it down, too easy up.. I am not saying it should be perfectly set on my difficulty set but that it shouldt default to spam a mouse button to win. In my experience that was the extent of gameplay (besides puzzles and traps which were great). The only reason the doubling back isnt possible is because in the campaign the monsers are inexplicably fixed to one area. I have never encountered that kind of organic gameplay except that one time. I only have 50 hours though so you guys all know more than me. 50 hours is still a bit though. It wasn't a horrible game. It was good, I had fun.
Holy shit, you guys go fast with the posting. Been away for like 2 days and another thread is here. [editline]12th April 2013[/editline] So, what did i miss?
S'good to be back, gents. Did I miss anything?

I always end up Khajiit. Driving back from a party with my younger brother (he's only a year younger than me) singing to "Imagine" by John Lennon. He was replacing all the words. One line ended up "Imagine that you're gayyyyy" and I was like "Y'know... I don't have to imagine." So that is 1/3 of my family down. I didn't intend to tell him but that was too good a chance to give up. I'm probably going to buy him an OBLIVIOUS title because I've been on Facepunch posting in this thread for weeks now under the same user I use for everything and same steam profile pic. Also along with my coming out to a tonne of people someone posted this on Facebook: “The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them -- words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while you were saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a tellar but for want of an understanding ear.” - Stephen King. Pretty relevant. Sorry; I keep spamming these threads with massive paragraphs.
i always picked nord cause i'm a viking irl
