I've got an interview for an apprenticeship tomorrow afternoon at the post office.
In a way I don't really want it but it'll be good to have if I do get it, the problem is apprenticeships have shit pay (half of national minimal wage and they can get away with it because its an apprenticeship), long hours a week, they put you on training courses for most of it, you're locked into it once you're in and there's never a job at the end of it.
I'd rather keep on the work program I'm on and continue applying to jobs, hell I didn't apply for this apprenticeship, it was done via the jobcentre...

So I've gotten myself a nickname in our painting classes. My teacher calls me "Fencer" and now some classmates like it too.
Apparently I put one hand behind my back while I paint without realizing it. Now I just go "son of a bitch..." when I catch myself doing it.

So lease is up next month which I totally forgot about.
Really don't want to move and doubly so considering I don't think I'd have enough time to move to a new place and find one anyways that would be cheaper (it's pretty cheap here already). So i'll probably renew my lease, which isn't so bad since I don't think this place is too bad.
Problem? Well my roommate-sis is moving out this move to live with her BF, so I'd be all alone, paying for a two bedroom apartment by myself. With my current rate of pay and living standards I'd be breaking even each month doing that. Going light on food cost by only buying bare minimum crap and never eating out I'd be earning $100 each month maybe (best case)
Of course the good news is I always get more hours in the summer so it'd more likely be $200-$300 earned each month. And I have lots of money saved up so it's not like I'm homeless if push comes to shove lol. Just kinda scary since a lease last a year... in which case I'd have to be paying to live there for a year.
Now me and my BF have been thinking about moving in together so this is kind of nice for that (and would mean things are back to status quo with both of us paying our share), and partly why I don't want to just move out into some tiny hovel for slightly less money per month. Problem is this is so sudden, he lives 45 minutes away so he obviously can't just drive to his current work like he is, he's never moved out before, and if he were to move in he'd have to be on the new lease (I don't think I'd be approved on a new lease all by myself anyways since half my pay is tips which don't show up on paystubs). He also simply just doesn't make -all that much-, doing around 20-ish hours a week making $600 or so per month. Even if we were to split the rent/bills/etc and him able to find a job down here within a month and move in within a month and somehow be totally cool with doing this all of a sudden He'd only have $250 or so added to his savings/checking/etc each month. Not including ANY gas, food, etc costs...
So now I'm kinda stuck in this hard spot where I need to sign in a new lease in less than a month all by myself where I'm gonna be scraping by and can't get out of until a full year since that's how long the lease lasts, and the best case scenario I can hope for is my BF moves in and splits things up so it's like it was before but now he's gonna be broke as hell because he's gonna be only making $100 or so a month after cost of living. And even then my BF likely wouldn't be able to move in for a few months so I'd be in that same position best case scenario for those two months.

Did I mention I need to drop $300 to replace my radiator lol. That's the shit that really kills poor folks, not the cost of living (because hey if your cost of living has you breaking even each month then you could say you are being efficent with your resources!) but its the shit that comes up and demands you spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to solve those problems. You might find yourself making $50 each month profit after cost of living, but if you have to spend $500 on a car repair or a medical bill or whatever, that's over 10 months "pay" down the drain for you.
