Whenever I rate anything disagree that doesn't actually have an opinion it's usually because there's no real middle ground between artistic and dumb, and so I rate disagree as a "I don't really like it" type of thing.

As a bonus I tried what it would be like to have the logo be a clipping mask for a token background pic of a treeline/mountain scape. I think it sucks for the logo but I might use the idea for some kind of picture or illustraition involving the icon:

The black and white ones are definitely the best so far, it always looked cluttered with colours and they weren't that inspiring or harmonic in my opinion. The picture in the text is a huge no-no. Go with the black or white ones. And I have to say I'm getting somewhat tired of seeing the logo for the 100th time, although this was the first time there was actual progress about it.

Rating something as vague as that is the equivalency of just replying "meh", nothing constructive there.

overrendered in some places, underrendered in other. makes it look weird.
the moustache looks soft. you should really try to get the textures tight and not just treat everything as the same material.
since it's a study you really took the lazy way out with painting stuff all black when those areas in the ref obviously has value.
nose looks superflat, the only thing you have cared to render properly are the eyes.
also moustache has this really weird form that makes it looks like two solid patches with only some strands of light hair attached to it.
