She is supposed to be short, in fact.
Try moving her waist line higher, she'll still be short but her legs will be in proportion.
ooh! i like Wrap
Makes me hungry.
yeah i had wraps for breakfast! " " it's fine though, i am now FINISHED for the year. well, gonna whip together a quick 'digital portfolio' but that'll be a small job. WOO!
I can't look at wraps after what my cafeteria did to them. Artificial Salisbury Steak n' Cheese Wrap! God bless Texas.
what is artificial steak??
I poem I wrote during my one day in school suspension The Curious Time by Sean Martin Time is such a curious foe causing so much stress and woe The second hand ticks and tocks on all sorts of sinister clocks. You think back on events so basted you think back on time so wasted Five seconds into until the future unknown events upon the user. Inspiration nearly botched while I stare at my pocket watch.
What does basted mean? The cooking term?
baste - clobber: strike violently and repeatedly; "She clobbered the man who tried to attack her" baste - sew together loosely, with large stitches; "baste a hem" hmm?
what is artificial steak??
Last time I checked, it was processed and compressed various meats (unused parts of chicken, pork, etc) into a patty with flavored fillers (tofu most likely). Then diced up into strips, covered in recently frozen nacho cheese and then inserted into a wheat wrap. If this isn't bad enough, the wraps are 90% of the wrap and 10% of the actual filling, so its like eating a very cold dinner roll with the occasional burst of metal tasting meat. edit- my guess is he meant the latter definition. He is talking about time wasted, so events strung loosely together would make shaky, unlasting relationships. Then again I am just trying to give it meaning and it could be nothing.
quich thing that takes a few days?
I only worked on it about an hour or so each day. For me that's quick.
very poorly drawn and a bad use of gradients and i'd consider getting rid of the lines never add detail with lines. use the line tool to draw, but always do it in a way that the detail will remain once you've removed the lines
I'm gonna re-do the wood grain sometime later today. The whole thing was meant to be a small part of another picture, but I don't really wanna spend too much more time on it than I already have.
I finally figured out an inking method that doesn't suck. I didn't make it big enough in the first place to scale down at all, so it's a little bit off in some places.
That art style makes me sad :(
Cool art style.
theyre basically stick figures
theyre basically stick figures
Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't notice.
theyre basically stick figures
I try to draw in a manner similar to that of Problem Sleuth, since I particularly liked Andrew Hussie's style when I saw it the first time. I think that the way I draw is a lot more fun than drawing portraits/figures (and much better than stick figures), as I can concentrate more on the writing (if I'm doing a comic) and expressions of my characters, which are the things which tend to make me proud of my work.
Cool art style.
Thanks!
That art style makes me sad :(
Any particular reason why?
It's the easy way out and only proves that the artist is lazy. With problem sleuth we actually know that he's a capable artist otherwise
It's the easy way out and only proves that the artist is lazy. With problem sleuth we actually know that he's a capable artist otherwise
...okay. I draw this way because I enjoy it, not because it's "easy." Yes, it is much easier to draw basic figures rather than humanoid ones (i.e. something like the Homestuck detailed scenes). However, there is no reason for me to draw more defined characters, as I would prefer that they're portrayed in the manner I depict them anyhow. Lazy has nothing to do with it.

No offense taken :v:

Get rid of all that ugly white and give it some atmosphere. Right now the road sticks out like a sore thumb, too. It seems rather rushed tbh
Hey does anyone know how to access the paintbrush tool in Photoshop that changes the opacity or flow of the paintbrush in a dotted way, giving a comic book like effect? I came across it a long while ago but now I don't know where it is.

WHATCHYU KNOW ABOUT ART DAWG So Kansas City Art Institute is basically the best school ever. in my opinion. I'm so glad I got a 20,000 dollar scholarship there. This bust can actually be found at the Nelson Atkins museum next to the campus, which is gorgeous by the way. And I loosely based the painting on that bust. the logo on the side of the headphones is a :iiam: (to you atleast :3:) but yeah. I'm going to be releasing more like this, probably will put it in its own thread. just a preview for yous guys. also i'm not done yet. this was only what i accomplished in an hour. i'm still fleshing out details.
