His right arm is a bit too cartoonishly and simply drawn, as compared to say the boots. It kinda throws the consistency off a bit. And maybe a bit more expression in his face. Maybe his hair blazing through the wind as well.

Composition looks pretty good so far..

that was intentional i just haven't added any grunge to it yet to look intentionally distressed because i was at uni on my laptop and didnt have any brushes

thanks! but yeah, you might be right. i actually vectored that from a comic drawing of snake (the only one in an appropriate pose i could find)

i'm actually not a drawer so i need to find a collaborator to draw me realistic stuff so i can then vector it
if anyone else wants to be my partner in crime and help me out with that stuff id be thrilled

Ok I figured something like that but because that was the only thing on the poster that sticks out like that I thought it was a mistake or at least something unfinished.

the whole poster is unfinished really, but considering the lazylion says the composition was ok (which was mainly what i was trying to get together) i am more confident to finish it
i think i will have do redo snake, he is too cartoony at the moment

ALSO is it obvious that the thing behind him is the top of the statue of liberty?

To me it was obvious right away. But one more thing, the middle spike has a little white edge where it connects with the head part, while the other spikes don't. Explain urself mister.

i was working on a very small laptop screen which is a tablet screen so it is very grainy because of how thick the screen is and hard to see fine detail on

Yeah the face doesn't work rusty, make it with some harsh shadows. You can still indicate the eyepatch being there if you do it properly.

you can't do faces to save your life.

Leave the eyepatch and the chin shadow, that should be enough.

make it even rougher, to fit with the style of the body, maybe even (as has been said before) only the eyepatch.

the eyepatch does look in the wrong position, but only in the absence of a face to give it perspective
i'll move it up
