kidding the only kind of bad any movie featuring kurt russel could be is badass. plus the mac11 configuration he had in the movie has caused me more wet dreams than i'd like to admit
drew Rutsy some face [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/snake%20detlef%20%2B%20stubble.png[/img]
Now that's a nice face.
mouth feel too far down and bit misaligned and it doesn't look much like kurt.
Perhaps the grey in the stubble should be a flat colour instead of dots? Other than that, [img]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/winner.png[/img]

Other than that, [img_thumb]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/winner.png[/img_thumb][/QUOTE] i feel like the dotty stubble fits in with the grungy dotty parts of the poster [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] ps i added in the stubble dont hate i might cry [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] a rutsy detkef production
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ajEeT.png[/img_thumb] One of my first attempts to actually draw/paint something with brushes. Anyone got any tips or advice?
i might as well post the final one - thank u detlef!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also higher resolution [url]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/efnyFAAACE.png[/url] [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] when i did a little test print on some a4 glossy paper the colours came out much too dark how fix
I think the color choice can be better. Green and off-white don't really match well and don't quite fit the theme. are you using CMYK?
i'm not but usually when i do the colours are even more out of whack when i print them (for some reason) [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] [QUOTE=Maya2008;29592941]I think the color choice can be better. Yeah I like the colours. Also do you have somewhere I can see all the posters you've done? I may very well be inclined to have a large one to print. Film posters own and I wanna cover my wall in them.
i dont, other than a folder on my computer i should probably make some kind of online portfolio so instead heres a bunch of thumb tags [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/efnyFAAACE.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/hobo%20with%20a%20shotgun%20finishedv2.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/THE%20THING%20poster%20grunge%20levels.jpg[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/zwaffev2.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/black%20swan%20finished.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/2001%20poster%20semi%20final.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/fc%20posterv3.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/grease%202%20poster.jpg[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/dirty%20harry%20poster.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/qotsa2.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/shining%20border%20no%20shadow.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/armyofdarkness.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/evildead2.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/theevildead.png[/img_thumb][img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/evil%20dead%20rrer.jpg[/img_thumb]
well, the color is just a personal preference :p and if you are using photoshop, did you check your proof setting?

But this could be everything. Your printer might be set wrong. Your monitor might be off. Your print settings might be off. Or more likely, none of these 3 mediums are on the same wavelength. Also proof setitngs: [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3655193/ProofSettings.png[/img] What you want is to use the same colour profile on your printer, on your document and on your print settings. Anyone got any tips or advice?[/QUOTE] The one thing that struck me right away is that the dark edges at the tip of the gun don't actually go in a circle around it but more straight down. That's not right. [img]http://i.imgur.com/whiOx.png[/img] these ones that took one second in paint but you know what i mean
i've found that printing more subtle colours really doesn't work, no matter your setup or quality of printer, muted colours just come out saturated. not quite sure how to fix it.
-autumn in the way!!-
