Or lower opacity.. :v:
well yeah I know that, but actually getting it as smooth as I want is hard
yeah I thought you knew, well I guess a feathered brush might help?
i've been using a canon application to print should i use ps?
You should use Photoshop.
aaa the left eye is wonky
u shoulda seen it before the forum was archived 51 thousand i think
wow if only you rated like you posted, seriously other than overv it's hard to juice ratings out of you guys (not that i'm a ratings whore but some recognition would be nice )
hey thats a really good idea [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] hey thanks man!!! what a nice thing to say (2001 happens to be one of my least favourite of the ones ive done) when you say shitty do you mean the intentional grunge (and subsequently not liking that style) or are u just bein a meany
Didn't mean anything by it mate, is just like, they all seem to be pushing for a kinda style that where terrible to begin with. The original Evil Dead posters looked bad in my opinion and yours is just more of the same. And the minimalistic lapproach ike your fight club poster doesn't sit well wiith what the movie's about IMO, and the words over it describing it kinda defeat the whole purpose of minimalism. I'd have art only. Just my 2 cents, didn't mean to offend its just what came up.

Olly Moss's style owns
I can never get things smooth. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/yG3t8.png[/img_thumb] [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] everything comes out scribbly
See Detlef. That's when you're supposed to use opacity on your brush. Nothing big and just to make the transistion by using the eyedropper. It also helps to use a bigger brush overall because it gets scribbly because of the small brushes all over the face when skin doesn't have any small details like that except for wrinkles. Skin is smooth and detailless, it's just wrinkles and pores that creates the details, and pores are just slapped on after making a smooth skin-drawing using some custom grainy dotted brush.
You're definitely a rating whore. Sit down with ChestyMcGee.
hey, my stuff never gets rated here, even in LMAO other than a few witty comments i normally get dumbs and lates. That's why I gave up on asking for ratings. Also, Detlef how would you pronounce that it is "det-lehf" or "det - leef"
hey, my stuff never gets rated here, even in LMAO other than a few witty comments i normally get dumbs and lates. That's why I gave up on asking for ratings. Also, Detlef how would you pronounce that it is "det-lehf" or "det - leef"
You shouldn't ask for ratings, at all. That's why you are a rating whore. Oh and the fact that usually when there is a rating on here you and ChestyMcGee has made at least one of those 90% of the time.
if i never rate anybody, it makes the times i actually do all the more special

Low opacity shouldnt be necessary, it fucks up the values no matter what. so yeah it may sound easy but it's not.
Also, Detlef how would you pronounce that it is "det-lehf" or "det - leef"
det-lehf

Oh and the fact that usually when there is a rating on here you and ChestyMcGee has made at least one of those 90% of the time.
firstly, I phrased that wrong i meant trying to get ratings not asking for them secondly, I give out a lot of rating because of two things, one people feel good when they post a piece of work and they get rated lots of artistics no matter how much they are of a ratings whore. and the fact that my advice is not as good as most of yours since you guys -and girls- have waaay more experience than me so when Rusty or detlef posts some criticism I just rate agree or disagree since they phrase things better than me and since people respect them more, by rating them it gives the artist an idea of how many people also think this without clogging up the thread
You know, you have my soul, And for you it doesn't matter, You have it all tied up and bound, All trussed up on a platter. I don't know what you want, I guess I'm at a loss, You're just so hard to figure out. Its hard to get across. I cannot be more perfect, There's little that I lack, But I'd change myself so much more, To make you love me back. Of course there's other girls, There's lots of them around, They smile my way and bat their eyes, And make those kissy sounds. They only make me sad, 'Cause I yearn for something true, Something that I cannot have, My dear, I yearn for you.

Shoulda just let you thought whatever it was you initially thought I meant.
If you can't keep up with 2 short paragraphs then I'm sorry I tried. Shoulda just let you thought whatever it was you initially thought I meant.
i deciphered one other thing you said - with the text on it you realise those are stills from the movie right?
Sit down with ChestyMcGee.
i like to rate  [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] but really i don't see why that's a bad thing i'm just expressing my opinion on posts without bothering to post because i'm lazy not sure what the problem with that is it's not like i'm coming in here disrupting anything or questioning ratings or spamming the dumb rating as much as possible
I made this for arts class. We are doing logos for the ocean and caring about it. Something seems off to me. The colours, the positioning? Help, please? [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] Fucking imgur jpg-ing and raping my images. [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] Cropped it. I think it looks a bit better now.
i've been using a canon application to print should i use ps?
You should. Most printer software are as broken as possible. They are hundreds of megabytes in size with no apparent usage.
this is how it prints http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/snake%20%282%29.jpg ( for comparion sake the original http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482927/Posters/efnyFAAACE.png ) which i feel makes it lose something. as an artist i want my stuff to look how i intended it and it has a totally different feeling with such dark and muted colours damn you printers you will be the bane of my existence
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/19WeI.jpg[/img_thumb] Oh shit it looks like a child
Finally somebody other than me who will draw army guys.(hurp durp realistically) My advice is use a ruler. Work on your perspective also.

[editline]4th May 2011[/editline] as that will affect the output as well. [editline]4th May 2011[/editline] was that with the canon software? or via photoshop.
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Hatsa.png[/img_thumb] Yeah, it's nothing. I just made it in 5 minutes because I was feeling shitty, and felt like getting it somewhere other than my harddrive.
That doesn't look good... at all.
looks like it should be the background to a late 80s sitcom intro
looks like it should be the background to a late 80s sitcom intro
i was wondering what that familiar feel was
