I like it, although I think the videos should continue to play as the camera goes away.
I like it, although I think the videos should continue to play as the camera goes away.
I did that but It kept the concentration on the video rather than the new picture that was coming in, plus I wanted to flex my time remapping knowledge.
Yes, I know, that was directed to the people who thought it does. If I placed these two men http://www.ecomodelismo.com/ECO_imgArt/TANK/TANK-35068.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3575/3574887273_4c461d29d9.jpg In the same pose as the BC2 cover, and presented one before the other, you would think I copied off the first one, due to the pose. In the same way, when chains posted his armor, the pose was pretty much an exact copy of the crytek pose that we all saw hundreds of times, which makes them look similar all of a sudden, especially since both are futuristic armors.
Nope. If you placed those two in the same pose I would see a very clear difference between them. You're not very good at this game.
so ur all leaving now. Just for an argument? The community isn't falling apart, we had a discussion, it's over and we can move on. Don't be so melodramatic, communities comes with it's ups and downs
I didn't know Onox was everyone. Also they aren't referring to this one discussion alone. This shit always happens over and over again.
Just to finish this discussion I posted this video pages ago but it got ignored and i'm wondering what you guys actually think of it. it was done in like 3 hours most of which was aligning the pictures. oh nice my worst piece of work gets page king. At least it won't get ignored.
Looks pretty bad really. The font does not fit in, it's way too thin and makes no impact at all. I would go for a bolder font. The song is annoying because it makes us (me) expect things to happen. It's a very lively song but your video is very static, because it's just a lot of images moving around and some text at the side here and there. You should have gone for something more calm, maybe even instrumental, then we really do focus on the images without getting mixed signals from the singer since there is no specific message you are trying to convey in the video. The flow of the video is very, annoying. You're just slowly panning from one image to another, making some random transitions and then slowly panning between some more. I think more speed between the panning from one image to another would be nice and then stand still on that one image for a while before going to the next. But then of course to avoid it being very mechanical and repeating you could mix it with some pannings here and there, or different transistions from one image to another. For example have one image crash into another image pushing it out, FAST. That way we would get more motion and action in the video without removing the focus on the main thing, watching the images. It would give us more time to watch the images with less time watching us move from one image to another. What I do like with the video is how you also put in some video footage in it, as well as those flames in the pan. That creates for good variation and eye candy without overdoing it.

So a "pretty bad" is good enough for me since it impressed all the teachers are the awards evening. During the summer i'll work on my editing since I really need to brush up on AE and 3DS max since I'm taking graphics next year [editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
Brunt made me cringe But well the video's gonna work if you're just going to show it to the people that took part on it. It's nothing special, but yeah, not bad for what it is.
I was debating between burnt or burned, is that what you meant?
get famous and this will be your mona lisa, it will be the piece of art that defines your entire career and livelihood. Looks great, do not be afraid to go even darker, and make sure that whatever reference you are paying attention to you acknowledge the real values between dark, and light, and remember that there isn't just white black and grey, there are thousands of different tones in between them. One thing you want to pay attention to in drapery especially is something that was really hard for me to catch on, but if you look closely enough there is light reflected back into the shadow, creating a luminous effect and making it look more like drapery than just blocks of colour. So you're saying it's okay to be mean to someone because if he was mean at one point then he obviously doesn't have the capacity to change. So you're inviting us to be mean to chains, a wonderful artist, simply because he said some things you didn't like. So if I started calling you names and being mean to you because i didn't like the stuff you said to me just now it'd be totally okay ? You're inviting us to join in your game of insults but I say good sir that I won't. Who are you to dictate this? and why shouldn't it and why can't it be a place to help people get better? Does being an overall mean community fit us into a stereotypical online community setting that is the only option for the people here? The creationism corner is here to encourage art, why can't we encourage it even more? We get loads and loads of new people posting their stuff asking to get better and asking for help on what to do and what to study but what have we given them other than harsh words Insults and shots at our character are the exact thing that you guys need to stop. None of us explicitly stated that we were leaving except for onox, yet the general assumption because we don't agree with you guys is that we are. It's is true that Onox and True and I have been discussing things, but that's just a given because we're actual friends outside of these forums, heck they go to the same school, and in fact, chains even said that he might be joining me next, next year too. (lolit'dbereallyfunnyifweallendedupworkingtogetherorsomething) Onox actually gave an explanation to why he was leaving and that's simply because his college courses don't exactly allocate him with enough time for himself. True and I simply stated that there are some things that are happening that all in all shouldn't especially in a forum specified for art again, art relies on acceptance and encouragement. A lot of us have made some ludicrous excuses for art in the past but we were never put down at the rate that some currently are. Understand that what I wrote and what True wrote and what Onox wrote was not just for you or detlef or anybody else that we've called out in the past, it's just that it saddens us that some of the best artists on this board are turning away from what art really is. - - - But maybe we are wrong, maybe you're right and your brand of criticism is what's best for this bored. Maybe we have a sense of 'old thinking' and what you are doing is symbolic of a 'new' type of thinking entering this board. But our references to the past are simply exhibiting the fact that more good artists are spawned in a good, nice, accepting community than that of one that constantly puts down and does not use a filter. We at the creationism corner need to the the proponents of what it is to be an artist, hobbyists or professional. We need to be proponents of the ideals of the arts. not opponents to them.
"Who are you to dictate this?" as another action of the person who actually is in charge here i demand a cease and desist we've both done our arguing and neither parties are going to forfeit their opinions and i do NOT WANT TO SEE ANOTHER PAGE OF ESSAY LENGTH RESPONSES [editline]7th May 2011[/editline]
Playing high and mighty are we?
how is that playing high and mighty that's stating pretty much how it is idk why you would ask a moderator and senior member (and cock sucking faggot) 'who are you to tell us what to do'
Guys can you please stop arguing
Guys can you please stop arguing
DUDE i just called for a cease and desist WHAT ELSE DO U WANT ME TO DO??? lol
I'm not playing high and mighty im playing 'well actually since you asked who am i to make the rules, im actually the guy that makes the rules'
No, you're one of the many guys that enforces the rules. The specific CC moderators are Perfumely and Daijitsu.
DUDE i just called for a cease and desist WHAT ELSE DO U WANT ME TO DO??? lol
My page didn't have your post loaded SORRYY :(
No, you're one of the many guys that enforces the rules. The specific CC moderators are Perfumely and Daijitsu.
Perfumely is no longer active at all and Daijitsu is around here less and less and is far too nice anyway. (If u dont recall I'm pretty sure I was a section moderator here (as well as games) for a while) i asked u guys to stfu with stuff that nobody wanted and ur still arguing with it dude u guys love the drama more than i do
You guys should really agree to disagree.

I have some faint memories of that. DUUUUDE. No, I love discussions.
Or just drop it [editline]6th May 2011[/editline] please
I had a short edit where I told him that he should ignore me if he didn't want to wind it long enough. But then I figured he would be smart enough to figure that out by himself, and by the look of the post, I was right.
do u love bans too hehe

Wow, strategic topic change Under what circumstances would one use a custom brush for painting?
Wow, strategic topic change Under what circumstances would one use a custom brush for painting?
Whenever it gives a better result than a standard brush.
Wow, strategic topic change Under what circumstances would one use a custom brush for painting?
define custom brush
Wow, strategic topic change Under what circumstances would one use a custom brush for painting?
what kinda custom brush? i see people downloading "pore" brushes n stuff for doing detailed portraits... but i don't really see the point. you can tinker with the default PS brushes' settings and get the same effects
I see people downloading "pore" brushes n stuff for doing detailed portraits... but i don't really see the point. you can tinker with the default PS brushes' settings and get the same effects
They download it because there is no reason to tinker with the settings when you can just get one that someone else already has tinkered with for you.
While you're all angry at one another I thought I'd post a new fish I drew :) He's walking the snail because his wife is currently picking up the kids from school
all the brushes I use are downloaded, I rarely touch any of the PS brushes. But brushes are super personal, a brush that works for someone might feel total alien for another. So try out lots and find something that you thinks works for you
define custom brush
well any brush other than the default round one. Just for painting though because custom brushes like bubble brushes are used for design and stuff
well any brush other than the default round one. Just for painting though because custom brushes like bubble brushes are used for design and stuff
depends what style you're going for and what material you're painting some people paint entirely in 100% hardness round brushes. i tend to stick to this but, sometimes, when i'm blending skintones for example, i take the hardness down a tad and add noise - i saw this in a tutorial and it adds a nice hint of texture during the early stages of painting
http://adonihs.deviantart.com/art/My-Brush-Pack-118954791?q=favby%3Adagdg%2F1469107&qo=3
wow I'm an idiot all this time i've been wondering how these guys have been getting these realistic paint textures in their digital art whilst completely ignoring custom brushes since i've had bad experiences with them
Adonihs brushes are basically all I use for painting
Adonihs brushes are basically all I use for painting
Oh and Detlef. This is one way to paint skin: Skintone Tut - longest ever - by =cypherx
