He's got a massive [h2]MURDER BONER[/h2] that's why.
ANd the reference I used it was a guy looking at a GPS. And I was like hey, that looks like I an put a MEU SOC 1911 in his hands. So I did.
It might be the angle that makes it look like it does because it was sort of look up at the guy. as for the murder boner I don't know lol.

Definitely does not look like he's holding a 1911, or any pistol. It still looks like he's holding a gps or a phone. Anyways, overall it's good, I like the attention to detail, some of the perspective is iffy, but if you make his torso thinner you're off to a good start.

i don't really see the point in tracing something if you're not even going to put effort into painting it once you've traced the lineart
seems like you're too scared to fuck up so you're just tracing and putting down base colour and then stopping
never gonna advance any further if you don't try

Made this just now, I figured since it isn't that great ( and is just an edited version of the " are you serious? " guy face ) I could post it here.
It's kind of blurry since I had to smooth out the rough spots and I'm currently using it as my steam avatar, so it's hardly noticeable.
I plan on including it in a TF2 MS Paint comic for the " Stuff that makes you rage in TF2: MS Paint Edition " thread.

I thought it looked pretty good :saddowns:
Besides I'm no artist, I just have a basic knowledge of Gimp and in my opinion this is fair enough to pass off as an avatar.
I wasn't exactly aiming for artistic and/or full of effort either, I just meant for it to represent the spy and look silly which is pretty much what I achieved.

That's the way it is originally outlined, it could just be the opening of the mask creating a weird perspective.
