Oh yay another newbie scared off. Good job guys.
there's "noobie posting bad digital art that had some effort put into it" and "noobie posting filter rape"
That is both an extremely well built and extremely expensive-looking set. How long is the show planned to run?
the 'scenic' budget for that show was £920, the total budget was £2150 for all the departments. All of our college shows only last up to a week and a half (depending on the venue) as we have a standard proscenium theatre and a 'in the round' theatre. I got another show coming up in a few weeks with a 3 week build schedule. The fun never ends!
Drawing a second cloud, trying to get used to using my tablet. Where can I get some good photoshop brushes?
why so blurry?
But come on, they should have some standards themselves
And if they don't then it's up to us to bring the standards to the attention, not obtrusively, but by making it clear why they're needed.
Well, that's the end of that. :c
why even post it here.
why even post it here.
Because it doesn't deserve a thread. And I wanna. Good enough?
why even post it here.
Gosh. When are you ever going to understand the title of the thread?
When are you ever going to understand the title of the thread?
You mean it's not "Creative Work from the Louvre - Detlef's Detlef edition" ?
cuz he scribbled all over it. why post something like that [editline]9th May 2011[/editline] I mean if the artist doesn't care for it, I'm not gonna care to critique it
cuz he scribbled all over it. why post something like that
It's still pretty easy to see the apple and maybe someone would bother giving feedback giving him the motivation to re-do it or comment on what he did and how he could do it better. And I think it's elitist to say what people can and can't post. Sure those filter-raped drawings on the previous pages are utter shit. Does that mean they can't be posted? Fuck no. Almost everyone starts off playing with "cool filters" throwing it on shit and being proud of it. It's often the first step into the digital art world. It catches your interest and you keep getting more and more interested and eventually get bored of the filters and want to do more, you have already discovered that there are wast possibilities. Then with some feedback here and there you slowly learn how to make something good. It's not like your first stuff wasn't a pile of shit, and look at you now. Doesn't matter if you posted it for others to see or not.
I mean if the artist doesn't care for it, I'm not gonna care to critique it
You don't have to. This is not a thread made for people to post work and get CC on it. It's a thread for people to post things they aren't all that proud of or want to show but don't think is worthy of a thread and then maybe get some CC as a plus. People usually ask for CC when they want it.
I thought it was a cherry.
Maybe it is. I dunno.

You guys seem really peevish lately. Can't we all just get along and post work?
we are discussing art related stuff. people are posting work. what more do u want
It seems like every time someone posts something we have a five page discussion on pressure sensitivity or low opacity brushes But that's just me
we weren't even close to that. thanks for bringing it up tho
u kids today
I know you like to have a sense of superiority but please step down to earth for a few.
why so blurry?
I used a fuzzy brush to see if it would turn out better :smith:
Detty, with all due respect(and I mean that, I love Zombie Waffe) your hate of low opacity brushes leads to bad reviews of good to semi good work. Of course there's the argument "what do you know". And yes it has merit, my work(at least the stuff online) is shit but that doesn't mean I can't see a piece and say "hey that's really good". Of course all this is just ammo for the trolls, so here goes. Besides Detty, How old are you, 16, 17? I don't know but you looked pretty young in that picture a while back on I don't know which thread.
What does age have to do with anything

Stop using low-opacity brushes and start using pressure sensitivity for opacity control is one way to quickly improve your drawing quality. Why the fuck do you bring up the age as if it matters?
i wanna make an aliens poster [editline]9th May 2011[/editline] the silhouette of her mech with a silhouette of ripley and newt surrounded by eggs inside it
