I'm just trying to work on facial features so as long as he's recognizable I'm happy
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/DPZIb.png[/img_thumb]
Nostrils are really flat on the top and look like theyre fused to the side of the bridge of the nose.
it was the goatee if he shaved it off he would look identical to literally every white guy on earth
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/DPZIb.png[/img_thumb]
His eyelashes are way too thinned out, and the values at the corner of his left eye (our right) is far too dark, it looks like he has a lump.

Alright I've decided to start working on figure drawing, so everyone, please shower me with as many helpful figure drawing tutorials and resources you can. And if anyone has any tips or advice on how to go about learning the art of figure drawing then that would be much appreciated.

his legs look short to me but i don't know anything about anatomy so yeah
They are, I'd fix them but there's no point in that since i'd rather not post little fixes over and over again.
Decided to do a little sketch of GLaDOS: No way to scan, so the lighting is terrible, and the graphite glares in places. Plus it's noisy, but a close up to give you an idea of detail:
It's staring at me.. :(
What I'm working on for TAFE (college) My 2nd ceramic piece :) I actually half glazed it after this photo was taken, a lovely light turquoise underglaze, painted so it looks like it drips down the spiral handle, the same colour on the inside, and a pale brown colour for the rest. I'm going to make a couple more different ones of these to make it an interesting little set. Lemme know what you guys think :)
Uhm TAFE isn't equivalent to college University is equivalent but not Tafe :x
For a game I'm working on.

However, if it's art i.e. not going to be animated then it needs a lot of work

Little ships will be flying in the distance as the game's theme plays. Also, how do you think I can improve it?

My idea was to have a separate layer that is 50% opaque go over the existing smoke. And if I varied the value in their heads, would it seem a little less annoying? Is it the shape of their heads? the flatness? Thank you for the CC by the way [editline][[/editline] The game runs on Java

About the head thing, it's just those 3 red dot's they are really distracting and repetitive try and make them a bit more subtle
Why is the middle of the eye all the way over there?
Her eye is over to the left a bit, not quite as much as that though.

How do you guys do digital painting with a reference? Do you like have photoshop on one half of the screen and the reference photo on the other? or do you switch between the photoshop and the reference windows? I wish I had a dual monitor setup or something.
