That's not helping. :saddowns: How am I gonna ever become less awful if nobody ever tells me in what way I can improve.
Photo studies -forget the video, someone else probably has a better one- Also, does she have a 5 o clock shadow [editline]14th May 2011[/editline] here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/959209/Burne-Hogarth-Drawing-the-Human-head-eng but this is a bit too in depth just read it to figure out how to draw a basic head

fatty im gonna give you the advice I give everyone. drop the digital art for now, study head anatomy. You know that is not how a human head looks. On another note, I think Giving lots of cc to beginners are pretty much a waste, I'd rather point them in the right direction of learning to get better. So yeah study anatomy.
Can we have a huge banner at the top of the section saying: "STUDY ANATOMY BEFORE YOU POST ART. DO IT NOW."
Hey everybody, just did this to sharpen my drawings of noses, ears and just my rendering in general. Also to work on my digital painting. Any comments/criticisms?
I do not feel quite as embarrased over this one, it might be a tad bit too round and the ears are undetailed, but in my opinion it is actually not that bad.

This thread has got me sucked into it so i'm going back to pen and paper :v: I recently got my tablet but i'm finding it a lot harder than drawing in real life, like drawing a perfect circle is hard for me without actually looking at the tablet lol. I guess it's just practise.

Keep learning and progressing but don't post it here every time - people will get sick of seeing you improve slowly and you will learn better on your own. And keep starting new things, work on fixing your past mistakes, and not working on the same thing until it's fixed.

We call that the dgg syndrome.
i went a little overboard with the printing as it turns out, office works is REALLY CHEAP, and I got A0 confused with A1 so i have a gigantic print on my wall now it looks a lot smaller in the photo though [editline]14th May 2011[/editline] upward angle because its up so high also im the worst at taking photos in the world

although i specifically asked for MATTE does that look like matte to you office works no it does not
The tape at the top sort of ruins it, couldn't you have used blue tack or something?
theres no tape its blue tacked there
I buy thin wood planks to mount my posters, stops them from ripping but you got them printed at office works for dirt cheap I guess blue tack works.
where do i get cheap wood planks or even cheap card anything thick and cheap
theres no tape its blue tacked there
oh now I see it, the sheen at the top made it look like tape, another thing though, is there any way of forcing a printer to not make those stupid white boarders around work?
where do i get cheap wood planks or even cheap card anything thick and cheap
Bunnings [editline]14th May 2011[/editline] or a framing shop
where do i get cheap wood planks or even cheap card anything thick and cheap
card: stationary shop, here I get an A1 piece for RM2 which is like USD 0.66
oh now I see it, the sheen at the top made it look like tape, another thing though, is there any way of forcing a printer to not make those stupid white boarders around work?
yeah there are a few creases here and there, not noticeable as much irl but its a huge A0 print, handling it with care is incredibly difficult as its just so large and unwieldy [editline]14th May 2011[/editline]
card: stationary shop, here I get an A1 piece for RM2 which is like USD 0.66
do they do it as big as a0
yeah there are a few creases here and there, not noticeable as much irl but its a huge A0 print, handling it with care is incredibly difficult as its just so large and unwieldy [editline]14th May 2011[/editline] do they do it as big as a0
yes A0 is really big, I feel sorry for those corners though.
ill see if i can find some A0 card tomorrow, hopefully will get it looking better
Why not frame it. With the money you saved by printing you should buy a nice frame.
I really need to start posting here to motivate me to work more and get better
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/dYUYb.png[/img_thumb] Heavily updated version of my elf. Might color her in Photoshop or something. To be honest I'm mostly proud of her feet/legs and the costume design.
Usually the leg that's lower is bent. Now it looks like it's straight and just shorter than the other one which is also straight.
Why not frame it. With the money you saved by printing you should buy a nice frame.
i imagine framing an A0 would be way more expensive than im willing to shell out kind of defeats the purpose of getting it printed so cheap in the first place
clean up my sketch [img_thumb]http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/133/9/f/figure_study_by_fadingz-d3ga09b.png[/img_thumb] [editline]13th May 2011[/editline] I feel that you spent almost no effort in the other 3/4 of the image :/ so I think if you spend as much effort in that area, you should get decent result.
I think the neck is too short and the head still too small.
i think with so many flaws maya it would be best to move on and start something new and use your mistakes to better your next piece
On the subject of printing, anyone know a place in the UK that will print huge stuff for cheap? Doesn't even have to be very good quality. [editline]14th May 2011[/editline] can't be arsed with this. Gonna start something new
