is it supposed to be sexy?
because there's something very repulsive about her looks
I'm gonna change her hairstyle, I think.

Comments and criticism please.
This was done with charcoal and a little bit of sanguine obviously.
Also its the album art of "in flames" new single deliver us.
I love it!
I think the neck is too short and the head still too small.
Gonna try to fix that.
Don't alter it man, throw it on the pile and do another one
Also Maya I'd like if you could limit your progression pics to maximum 3. People get sick of seeing pic after pic with little progress
Gonna try to fix that.
No there's no point, take what you've learned and do a better one
Gonna try to fix that.
I think u already broke that
that one does have a major update.
and I just saw your message.
[editline]14th May 2011[/editline]
It's just habit of mine to fix whatever comments I get if i see fit :X
I see no major update.
you just fixed some of the hair
actually her entire head, other than eyes, and her bikini.
but well, I'm done with that image.
I see no major update.

the face is pretty blatantly completely different
and looks a shit tonne better and less bitchy and frightening
and her hair is less scary too
I just like to fix according to the comments and verify that I fixed some of the issues.
If that can be problematic, then I'll start another thread.
actually her entire head, other than eyes, and her bikini.

it is inherently unattractive you can't fix it
learn from this and do something entirely different

also whats with ur signature? why would u put a sig on a practice drawing? u put them on finished, polished stuff. heck i rarely put my name on anything
it comes off like
"yeahh. thats right bitches. i did this"
yeah sigs and watermarks annoy the piss out of me. I put the date on my finished pieces. And only my name if other people are gonna see it, and those people are the sort of people I want to impress.
id put my name on something if it was going to be exhibitioned
the date and the sig are on the same master file, I usually just drag the entire thing onto the piece.
Perhaps I should just date it. (I want to start putting date onto the pieces as I did not do them before and i have no clue when I made certain stuff)
i dont get dating it either
why does it matter when you did it?
[editline]15th May 2011[/editline]
i mean that information is in the saved files data anyway
lol I never sign.
may be cuz my signature is fucking ugly.
No wait I don't want proof that I did it.
nope it's not that, I don't feel important enough to sign.
pro people sign their shit so I guess u feel more important if u have a big fancy signature.
at least its not a watermark goddamn they're ugly why would anyone want to put that on their art
I think the signature thing might came from the coding habbit, in which I start my code by typing my name and the date lol
[editline]14th May 2011[/editline]
and I hate watermark, unless it's published stuff and copyrighted.
I put dates on some of my sketches, but never digital ones
mainly because the layout in my book is anachronistic, sometimes I go back to old pages and draw there when I'm out of room and haven't bought a new one yet.
oh wait it's so people cant STEAL THEIR ARTZ
[editline]14th May 2011[/editline]
ouch my merge

It's funny because most people trace over the image anyway.
The most effective watermark would be a black square covering the entire image :v:
On the subject of printing, anyone know a place in the UK that will print huge stuff for cheap? Doesn't even have to be very good quality.
[editline]14th May 2011[/editline]
can't be arsed with this. Gonna start something new
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17721670/DRAWINGS/indiana%20fin.jpg[/img_thumb]
lower lip is too thick
it's not hard to remove most watermarks manually/automatically btw.
unless the the watermark has gradient, blur, and etc.
which makes it even more tedious to look at.
pff why would anyone.
most people who watermark their stuff are shit at drawing trying to look more important
The only place I see applicable for watermark is when you are selling the image in which people have to pay to see the full version without watermark.

speaking of the devil, I found this:

ITT; everyone debates signing their art
I don't sign my work, I just dump it on my portfolio
I should date my traditional stuff because I always forget dates and I like to see how I've
progressed. With digital stuff the date's on the file so I don't bother.
I like signing stuff as well, it makes me feel special
Signing my drawing is just a habit really. I sometimes go to RPG conventions and do cheap commissions of people's characters, so I feel that signing and giving my drawings a year is sort of necessary if I want to show off examples that are relevant to the moment and can spread the word.
