I'm having a lot of trouble making a style.
Anything for understanding the human face?
Facial anatomy is fairly easy once you get used to it

This is my favorite reference for faces

Got bored waiting for the Pirates premiere.
much better, heh I see you're using Rusty's 3 colour rule
I usually build off of someone else's style / rules if they work. Introduce my own style elements. Everyone would agree that Rusty's movie posters are great, so since they inspired me I decided to try my hand at what he did and see what my version would look like. Its also a great way to learn stuff.

Learning how to paint with a tablet so this is a work in progress. It's missing something but I can't quite put my finger on it. Texture maybe?

First one is nice
The others are alrightish
I don't like how you positioned "boop", partly on top of the design but mostly white text on that cream background D:

Alucard, you're missing stars.
The road is also a bit wrong in perspective IMO, it should be angled down and away rather than up. Take that odd misty headlight shine out, and make more of the immediate road visible. Should be able to see out to the edge of the other side, and a bit off the road on the closer edge. I would make the town lights in the background smaller and more numerous.
I love the shadowy blurred pines, they look fantastic.

I don't really like the road... I think you could get rid of it and add something else, or you could just get rid of it. I just like the simple look of it.

the perspective is waaayyy off
Alucard, you'd want to put a few harder lines in there to give a sense of detail. Just do it on a layer above and try it out until you find something that works.
And MakoSkyDub, the air is full of brownish smog/clouds/fog so stars won't really be visible.
Well maybe some aurora borealis or something then, that could be very nice (and is already sort of there)

First time drawing on a tablet, its hard to get used to. How can I improve because drawing fine, straight little lines seems almost impossible.
Use the wrist
[editline]27th May 2011[/editline]
and generally your whole arm for movements
not just your hand
Wacom tablet arrived the other day, getting used to it and really enjoying using it. Here's a rough picture of a blood covered hand I drew in about 20 minutes.

The background looks like complete shit, need to mess with some blurry shapes until I get something that looks a bit better for my drawings.
I kind of wished his head popped.

I think it's just a case of getting used to it. When mine arrived yesterday I was awful, but I've been gradually getting more used to it. Also don't forget you can use a real ruler or whatever.
Could someone convert this to a full quality .tga image and save the transparency?
Thanks!

Doesn't it already have a transparency mask?
All you have to do in PS is ctrl click the layer icon image, copy [ctrl+c], go to channels, make a new channel (this new channel will be alpha) shift+f5 and press enter to apply the transparency mask of your image. This will make an image that you can save as .tga with a transparency mask.

Photoshop lets you make straight lines and circles and everything you may need don't be ridiculous and place a ruler on your tablet.

hey cool there's little icons indicating OS browser and country

Just joking, Canadians are my second favorite North Americans.

If I were into editing images and doing that stuff I'd do it myself, but it feels a bit tedious to install all of Photoshop just to do that. It would be easier if someone who has it could do it, I couldn't find a simple online converter that would keep the transparency.
