I know there already is a Combustible Lemon Launcher that has been designed. Personally I do not like it, so I decided to have a go at designing one (with the intention of it replacing the Flare Gun in TF2 and not requiring custom animations). I'm moderately pleased with it, I suppose. Here's the description I made for fun: "Hello investors, Cave Johnson here. As I am sure you are aware of, I had my engineers working on producing a combustible lemon. Through recent and potentially revolutionary advancements in laser technology, we have been able to convert the insides of any organic object into pure kerosene. I decided to use this discovery for the noblest of purposes: to burn life's house down. That's right folks, introducing the consumer version of our newest fire-starting product: The Aperture Laboratories Combustible Lemon Launcher. Now, we aren't banging rocks together over here; we know how to scramble an object's molecular structure. This handheld, break-action launcher of combustible lemons is sure to light up anyone's day - literally! Load a lemon in the compartment, squeeze the trigger, and watch as the igniters set it ablaze as it hurtles toward your enemy. Inspiring stuff. Don't have any spare matches? It can light grills too (Warning: extreme risk of melting; do not attempt unless grill is made out of tungsten). The Combustible Lemon Launcher comes complete with a debatably ergonomically designed handle, a frontal grip, one of two kinds of colored LEDs- for your viewing pleasure, and a three-lemon starter pack (due to preservation issues, the launcher no longer comes with lemons), so just make those checks out to cash, send that to us, and we'll box it up and send it right to your doorstep. Cave Johnson- we're done here."
Hah i like that

I don't know why.

I think it looks a bit too similar to the ASHPD, but that was probably intentional so
I know it doesn't make sense story-wise, but that is because there really isn't much too work off of from the time frame it would actually be in (80s or so). Because of that, I made it look modern. I wanted to add something more to it, but I just wasn't sure what. If you have any suggestions, I would be appreciative. [editline]1:28[/editline] I thought about cutting off the front past the dotted line. Also I am really considering re-designing the circled claw protrusions (although, I'm not sure what I should replace them with). thoughts? [editline]1:34[/editline] An idea I have is to hook up one of these: http://www.humboldtmfg.com/images/products/large/H-1876.jpg so that it hovers around the same spot the pilot-lights are currently at.

Cutting it off at the red line would make it a single-handed weapon, I think, which would really change the dynamic Try adding a subtle purple overlay on the shading of the lemons Very nice work by the way
Got bored and drew some random Desperado-type. I'd put the ignition thingy inside the barrel.
if you sketch out some loose outlines before you go all crazy with the dark tones you might get a better result.
With pencil i like to go crazy without much structure, im not very meticulous at all in terms of sketching out a base first, but with my drawing thats the way ive seen the best results.
eh, this is my last attempt before I go back to more surreal things
my Anatomy book just arrived :D!
my Anatomy book just arrived :D!
:q:
fucking finally
i wasn't masturbating the whole week waiting for it, Detlef found an anatomy book online which i've been reading and just drawing stuff from for days
Did somebody say low opacity brushes?
u got a problem with low opacity brushes, hombre :toughguy:

well first of all its from terraria, haha second of all, the perspective is fucked up and the shading is very bad, its all squiggly and shit it also doesn't make any sense maybe u should stick to pseudo stick figures mayte [editline]5th June 2011[/editline] and why do the horns all bend to the left? that would look pretty retarded, from that little icon it seems like they all either go straight back or they all bend inward [editline]5th June 2011[/editline] unless you were trying to draw it like that, in which case... im so sorry

I suggest you find some real life references so you don't render on an empty brain
merge ruinedd!!!!!

It needs a lot of work, yes but it's not THAT bad. I think if you moved the line and bulge in the middle more to the right and make the (my) right eye smaller it could kinda look right.
Rusty hates lucky alot
Rusty hates lucky alot
Rusty hates alot of things

i think i'm going to stick to using cylinders for guidelines
probably not such a good idea. looks like another excuse to draw something armor like. Do some organic anatomy studies, that's what you need
