Why has no one mentioned Now and Then, Here and There unless someone did and I missed it

Note that being intentionally dumb does not necessarily make you smart dumb. In fact, it can make you dumb dumb, more so than unintentionally dumb. One hopes when you deliberately make something dumb that it's ironic dumb AND smart dumb; ironic dumb can be just as dumb as dumb dumb if there is no wit/effort. Unintentionally being dumb can be enjoyable just because it is so dumb and watching people fail has its appeal. Intentional dumb usually can't imitate this without being a smart parody, eg. "Yep, you've made something that we both know is dumb. Can we stop giving you money now?" Dumb people like dumb dumb things and call them parodies to fool themselves. Dumb is dumb but, yes, it can also be smart.

I remember some anime styled movie on toonami... It was about a crew who loses a ship, then teams up with an old man to mine some pink crystal. Anybody have an idea of what I'm talking about?

I feel the need to say this to all who say anime style, the first anime were styled after WALT DISNEY. So really, anime art is actually an evolution of WESTERN style.

Films but still absoloutely awesome and must sees: Grave Of The Fireflies Barefoot Gen IN THAT ORDER. Also, get some tissues. your eyes will be fucking fountains. Even I cried and i consume baby souls for dinner. They're both about WWII from japan's perspective, and both anti-war. Gen is about Hiroshima, and Fireflies is about the firebombing of Kobe. GO NOW.

How about Excel Saga if you're into a really zany parody of everything. I think the first episode shows the main character as a high schooler who has just graduated but it is never mentioned again (I think). I can point to stuff with comedic elements instead of just comedies.

At the moment I'm watching cromartie High school. Something like that.
