The results for Potluck Comics' (AKA Spicy Tornado) contest have been announced.... - General

If they found a way to prevent people from voting on their favorite artists comics and instead on comedic value, then we'd be getting somewhere. Of course, that would be ridiculously difficult to figure out.

The winners were awful BUT I HAS PIZZA LOLOL and LOL RANDOM WHALE Terrible humor.

I entered and actually had a chance to place 2nd for a while, until the dA people that I thought didn't have too many fans (because they weren't getting shares) told their hundreds of fans at the last second and pushed me out of the running entirely. They all sucked. Alien sex and/or Riding Hood should've won.

At the very least they could have made it a rule that the comic must be made specifically for the competition and not a submission of something they made forever ago. Don't know how they'd enforce it though.

The first one was fine. The other 2 were fucking awful, especially the second one. "lolrandum" comics are never funny.

Note how on the website three of the winners were submitted most recently.

They shouldn't have won. None of those comics were funny, at all. They could be, if we were all 13 or younger. How in the fuck did these comics win any money? I could have made something stellar compared to that horseshit. That chick that won first place even admitted to her stupid friends spamming the vote button. "I feel I should start by apologizing to Potluck Comics about the many times the site was down which was caused by [B]my dear friends and fans yesterday with their enthusiastic voting[/B]." They didn't vote on her comic because it was genuinely funny, but they wanted her to win. What is the point?

They should've had a bracket-style competition, would've been at least a bit more fair.
