NIN is my favourite band from and far away from other bands I know.
Just listened to The Downward Spiral for the first time today, I don't really get the concept. Decent album, though.
NIN is simply amazing.
I started mixing studio albums with remix albums. I've got three so far a mix of Broken and Fixed, The Downward Spiral and Further Down the Spiral, and The Fragile and Things Falling Apart.

It was a 'story' album, about a guy who's battle against society.
trent reznor is my hero, love nin
I listened to Nine Inch Nails years ago, but never really got into them. It was only recently I got into them, Trent Reznors work is great.

[sp] Which ultimately ends in his suicide with The Downward Spiral being the actual suicide and Hurt being the suicide note [/sp]
Is anyone else exited for the new Girl With The Dragon Tatoo Soundtrack by Trent and Atticus?

Do you got it up yet?
Also, guys, I plan to update the OP sometime tomorrow with either the 'Tour' section or the 'Popular' section. Please vote on it so I know which one to add.
Been getting into NIN a lot more recently. I've heard The Downward Spiral, The Fragile and The Slip.
Where should I go from here? A friend of mine recommends Year Zero but what do you guys think?
Nine Inch Nails was my gateway to industrial music.

You have been listening to the more 'rock' oriented part of NIN, I suggest weaving yourself into the more electronic stuff and Year Zero is not the place to start. Listen to With Teeth then listen to Year Zero.

Most industrial is bad, but for some reason NIN is godly.
Unfortunately, I didn't get into NIN until the Wave Goodbye tour, I managed to get tickets, though. Lawn seating :(
I'm sad that the band is done, but it made sense to end it. HTDA is good (I didn't really like it at first, but grew into it), and his soundtrack for The Social Network was great, and I can't wait for him to do the soundtrack for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
[editline]woah[/editline]
Pine Inch Pails
Fine Inch Fails
Sine Inch Sails
Wine Inch Wails
Vine Inch Veils
Tine Inch Tails
Mine Inch Mails

I wouldn't call it bad; it's just not for everyone, but I do believe industrial has become kinda lame now. ~hurr goffs with synthesizers~

NIN isn't 'over', it's a hiatus (from the touring) basically. Also, I hope you realize the name 'Nine Inch Nails' refers to a phallus.
Actually, Trent chose the name because it sounded cool and abbreviates nicely.

And just sometimes you find some of the best bands around, ala NIN and PAIN.
