• Did you find that Simpsons sucked before or after The :Movie

I liked the Simpsons movie but I haven't really watched the show in like.. 6 years? So I'm impartial.
I thought the movie was pretty good, but the new episodes are beyond crazy. The last new episode I watched had - and I shit you not on this - Sideshow Bob tearing his own face off. :psyboom:
I like the Simpsons.
I've always been a fan of The Simpsons, it's a great show, but it's starting to get to the point where they have done every single plot imaginable.
I'll always LOVE this show!
after I discovered Futurama
I really dislike the Simpsons. I think Futurama is much better, but I'm sure a lot of people would disagree with me.

It's seemingly got better now with the recent series. The Bob Next Door was the last one I saw and it was fairly entertaining, although that might just be the fact that Sideshow Bob's in it.
In some of the new episodes its really good
I started to despise it in the seasons leading up to the movie.
the quality of the animation and color got better as the quality of the episodes got worse in 00's. It's still watchable and more or less enjoyable, but new episodes don't even get a laugh out of me compared to a few seasons before. They just need some fresh new content, or make it a little bit more random. To be honest I have only watched a single episode of the simpsons all summer and only a few all year, compared to the loads of family guy and it's clone aka american dad.
I've watched 1 episode in the past year, but it was one from the 80's/90's back from when it was good.
I never thought it was good.
It's okay but it focuses a lot more on cultural references now than it did back then.
(I also hate the fact they remade the opening into that HD one and they have a bigger TV/added stuff and etc)
I'm glad they changed the intro. I mean, they changed the format of the show to HD, and you wouldn't want an SD 4:3 intro for a HD 16:9 show. They would have to scale it up or change it in some way and it would probably turn out worse than it is.
AHUHUHUHUHU spoidurr pig No. It turned to shit after the movie, that was just wasting the last drop of fresh humour they had left.
It's past its peak, but its peak was high so it still retains its excellence.
It's been shit for fuckin' YEARS, it's the number 1 example of what happens to a show when they make too many episodes. I really, REALLY love the older ones, though. They have something to subtle and clever in them that I always figure out stuff that I was too young to understand the first time I watched them all those years ago. Love 'em. But the new ones make me cringe because of how un-funny they are. And the movie was ok, but I don't think I laughed once. And that spider pig shit that everyone lol'd at for some reason was really lame. STOP MAKING THEM NOW, THANKOO. That said, the newer tree house of horrors are still good.
It's been on for over 20 years, and it's still pretty funny. I'd like to see 1/2 of you write a show for 20 years and keep it funny.
I don't see how this is related to anything. I don't need to be a cook to tell if food tastes bad.
I stopped watching Simpsons in the mid-90s... I just lost interest... Now, I cannot believe I live in a world where 2 generations of kids grow up watching the same crap [editline]09:47PM[/editline]
It's been shit for fuckin' YEARS, it's the number 1 example of what happens to a show when they make too many episodes. Some episodes are good and some are very dull.
I have always loved The Simpsons, they are still interesting.
I hate the Simpsons with a passion, the old episodes suck so do the new ones.
For me, it went like this: 90's - 2003: Good 2005-2007: Meh. Movie: Excellent. 2008-Present: WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?
It kind of went downhill before the movie, but after the movie I saw it getting way better again.
I still watch them. Some of the new stuff is great... Though I basically refuse to watch anythingfrom season 1 (crappy drawings annoy the hell out of me)
I kinda realized the formula to the Simpons episode plot after the movie: 1)Make something happen to one of the family members of the Simpson family. 2)The event or item creates a new plot which becomes the main storyline totally unrealted to the event or item. 3)Simpsons try to solve problem and ends well. The End. Still funny though.
That's the same for any sitcom, really. [editline]12:23PM[/editline] It isn't as consistent as it used to be, but I still like it.
The Simpons is alright. Nothing like it used to be, but not as bad as Family Guy or Two and a Half Men or anything. The movie was great, though.
I didn't like the Movie It wasn't funny One episode of the Simpson is funnier Love the series though i really watch the 8-15 seasons mostly. Malaysian Programing for you :/
