Did you find that Simpsons sucked before or after The :Movie

I stopped watching around 2003-2004 because they were getting pretty shitty around there. Saw the movie and it was a huge disappointment.

Not really funny to me at all any more. Some episodes are funny but the oldies are far better either way it's entertaining.

I still enjoy it, but the jokes seem much too dependent on pop culture references now, like Family Guy.

Some are good but most of the recent ones are absolutely horrible. It's like watching Simpsons Fan Fic... it's just cardboard cutouts of all the characters you know and love.
Yes we know Homer is stupid and Bart does bad things, but they lack the same variety and depth they had.
All the jokes are half-assed and it seems like after 20 years the voice actors are getting bored.

Same here. The only funny part of the movie was "Spider Pig" and they gave that away in the commercials.
