I know exactly what you mean when you say they're like a herd. Here in PEI we get a lot of tourists in the Summer. My aunt set up an ice cream business near a major tourist attraction where buses full of Chinese and Koreans show up all the time. I'm pretty sure it's the Chinese tourists who will only spend their money exactly where the tour guides tell them to. I'd say on average out of every bus full of people that stops in front of my aunt's shop, probably 0 actually go in. Hers is the only shop at this park and they walk right by it like it's not there.
I like all the yelling, chaos and the zero fucks.
Maybe I'm weird, makes them very interesting people.

It's a new real life drama series called "Asian Ladies Travel and Yell"
Chinese people in Japan carry their huge suitcases while walking down the streets of Osaka, if you are stuck behind them, don't be surprised when they stop in the middle of the narrow sidewalk and start taking pictures of the front of a ramen restaurant. Also, they LOVE farting on the train, like wtf Chinese people.

What's with Chinese hating on Taiwanese folks? In fact the level of animosity between different asian countries is pretty intense given a lot of the causes behind it happened generations ago, in fact most of the people who were actually involved either dead or close enough to dying.

Basically because they think we're a part of them, they think they own us.
Aren't we given a lot of shit worldwide and nobody recognizes us as a country? It's because of China
Yeah, since we were under the Japanese rule for 50 years, until after the WWII the Chinese KMT retreated here because they lost the war to the communists. That's why the Chinese calls us Japanese dogs and shit.

Nah dude you're actually kind of a racist asshole. Can't really support grouping 1.4 Billion people as "ignorant pieces of shit". Kind of makes you like like a fucking dick.
[editline]3rd August 2016[/editline]
Jesus christ people you're acting like chinese tourists are the first bad tourists ever. I've had both good and bad experiences with them. I've met some fucking retarded tourists from all nations, but i don't think it's a good idea to group everyone from one nation into a single group like that.

I think none of us here condemn all Chinese tourists as bad, i have worked in different restaurants and it is no lie that in general most Chinese tourists are the ones who are just disgusting and disrespectful.
Also too fucking bad you just ruined it, to quote myself
At least i am glad no one pulled the racism card here yet because that is such a bullshit excuse to hide up a issue that is actually a somewhat serious issue, especially with the growing numbers of Chinese citizens traveling abroad.
It's pretty true tho, the majority who travelled from mainland China are like this. The ones who don't are usually not from mainland at all, or the generation is less stupid.

True, Pentium's posts are a bit overly aggressive though

Even most chinese folks from other parts of the world (including China) despise China tourists.
Its not a race problem, its a cultural problem that mainly affects China

Of course nobody is saying all Chinese tourists are bad, and nobody is implying that tourists from other countries aren't bad; quite the opposite. Problem is, when your own fucking government has to print out booklets with such advise like how to not shit in the fucking street in acknowledgement of how prevalent the problem is, you should maybe admit there is a common trend
I think they are hilarious.
Calm down guys im saying pentium is a racist asshole, china's got a problem yeah but im not calling any of you racist for calling out them out. If i said africans are all ignorant peices of shit, that'd be racist yeah?

You're trying to make it out to be a case of to-mah-to to-may-to. Even though he explicitly said he felt sorry for the non mainlanders that get lumped together with the mainlanders that are the main perpetrators of the Chinese tourist stereotype, yet you immediately accused him of being "hurr durr fucking chinkonauts are at it again". As I said, the rude Chinese tourist problem is a problem acknowledge by the Chinese fucking government. This isn't just blind prejudice based on race as you seem to think, but a case of mass cultural friction
Well, Pentium is rightfully angry because the Chinese are destroying the housing market in BC making it so you have to sell your blood plasma and your soul just to afford half the rent. It's a well documented issue.
He is being overly aggressive tho so he just comes off as a cranky asshole who hates Chinese people.

They aren't being rude. Chinese is a very efficent language , how are you, Goodbye, thank you, please and things like that arent really used very much. Especially please. Its just a cultural misunderstanding. I do appreicate the problems of fucking nongs going and shitting in the streets, but most mainlanders who travel aren't fucking nongs.

Rudeness extend beyond just language. As shown in the video, the incident at the buffet in Thailand, the different behaviour advice pieces in the booklet published by the PRC, as well as the anecdotes by the restaurant owners shows that it's flat out cultural friction. And even though things are improving, yes, most mainlanders, especially during the earliest days of the PRC opening up were "nongs" (whatever the fuck that means). This isn't about mere racial prejudice, these are well documented facts that point to a conclusion that typical mainlander mannerisms clash horribly with the expected behaviour you'd find in most Western countries. Just because they aren't all shitting in the street doesn't mean they aren't being culturally oblivious, and in many cases stubborn and resistant to do as the Romans do.

See the problem i have with that argument is that chinese people don't exactly have a monopoly on shitty behaviour. You can definitely acknowledge the cultural differences without calling them "ignorant pieces of shit." They use the chinese internet, as well as being the country with one of the lowest amount of immigrants compared to the total population (850kof 1.4B), so it's not surprising they're just got no clue. It's made worse by several other typical chinese behaviours. They spit and hack up phlegm a lot, loudly. They believe its unhealthy to keep it in. Lines don't exist in china, people will push. Talking loudly is common and usually necessary in china. They also lack the concept of person space. It doesn't make them bad or whatever. Also, a nong is is from the chinese word "nongmin", which means peasant. It's slang for the chinese equivalent of white trash, redneck, chav or bogan. As you would have seen in the video, these people now have money thanks to china's advancements. Now they're going overseas for the first time. Americans used to have the same kinda reputation, although not as bad, but have lost it in the last few decades.
I understand Chinese tourists not really knowing different cultures or not being very polite, but i've had several similar experiences with Chinese exchange students in university which i found a bit odd considering there's a bit more of a requirement of understanding our culture and language to study here than simply traveling here. I can't tell you the number of times i've had Chinese exchange students skip to the front of a very obvious line and interrupt the people helping those in line to try to buy their stuff
Yea i've seen this cue cutting behavior a lot :speechless:
