Even though several people have weighed in on these, a lot of people regard some of the beastie boy's albums as masterpieces, because of their heavy sampling, sampling isn't an easy route and it takes a lot of experimentation and skill to incorporate it properly and make it sound distinct from the original

I'll be honest here I kind of agree with Kanye's points, he's an extremely misunderstood guy, and the minute someone notices self-value, everyone pushes hate onto them because it's so taboo in society
To be completely honest watching this entire interview changed my opinion on him. Everybody just sees him as a self absorbed asshole but he actually talked a lot of sense. People may say that he has a huge ego but to be honest I think that he's just confident in his ability to create music and I don't think that makes him a bad person. A lot of the things he said were a little bit inspiring and the whole interview actually made me like him a lot more than I did before

He is in this interview, but very often he doesn't seem to follow a train of thought or acts impulsively with seemingly no reason for it. I mean, there's the time he said "George Bush doesn't like black people'" with seemingly no reason for it, or the Taylor Swift incident.
He usually has a good message or reason for what he does, but it rarely makes sense at the time.
