The sound reminds me of a point and click adventure I used to play.

I wanted to get my hands on one for the longest time, too bad it's price is way over the top and the only quality hang drum makers in the world got YEARS-long waitlists.
I can't help but think the sound would be so much nicer if they could eliminate the slapping sound the hand makes somehow.
You can basicly hit every note and they all fit together, this thing is only playable in one scale of about 8 notes that all fit together. Basicly it forces you to sound good aslong as you have rhytm. You could do this to a guitar too and remove certain frets so you can only play this one scale, no matter what notes you combine in this scale it will sound "right" but it leaves you with less possibilities. I see that this instrument haves about 8 different notes or less while an whole octave haves 12 notes so theres definitly a minimalism going on.
I always thought a hang drum was some kind of traditional ethnic instrument
this instrument sound so wonderful, it's like caribbean music and close to something related to pirates or the eastern asia.
