I have a job, and I go to college, and I go to parties. And yet I'm on the PC most of the time. Such is Life.
Get a hobby. Or a hobo.
Cut your penis off.
You're ruining your own life. The PC isn't.
I love it when people blame objects or games for ruining their lives.
So this is it, Facepunch. Come to think of it, the pc have slowly ruined my life, day by day. Should have taken the hint a couple of years ago when my free-time activities started to fade, and my school grades could be compared to shit. Though what really hit me was my mom crying today. Even though she have pissed me off sometimes, told me to get the fuck out of the house and do something that "doesn't involve that fucking machine", I knew she did it because she cares for me. I have many friends. Though I can't "see myself" in anyone of them anymore. I don't share interest with any of them, except a chap that smokes, does drugs and shit. And I don't want to be with him. So, in hopes of not derailing my life, I'll try to get away from the computer as much as possible. Maybe get a job. Or something else.
It isn't your PC, it is you. You're just being a lazy bum, don't blame the computer. It isn't forcing you to go on it, it is all you man. Don't talk about what you're going to do, just go fucking do it. The irony of this whole situation is "PC ruined your life" and yet you sit on it feeling sorry for yourself and post about it on a internet forum. Get off the computer and go do something about it.
1) Use your PC to find a job 2) Sell PC. 3) Use money to pay for snazzy suit for job interview. 4) Get snazzy job 5) Meet beautiful women 6) Success
just sell your PC for a nice macbook or something, if games are you're poison that will solve the problem entirely.
just sell your PC for a nice macbook or something, if games are you're poison that will solve the problem entirely.
Or get Linux.
just sell your PC for a nice macbook or something, if games are you're poison that will solve the problem entirely.
Or you know, he could save his money instead of buying a overpriced pos and not use a computer entirely seeing as it "killed his life."
It's not even the computer. Don't put the blame on it, you're just avoiding the issue. You're addicted. It can happen with anything. Drugs, entertainment, books, hobbies. Instead of tossing your PC out the window and miserably trying to start something else, learn how to do more productive things and get out more with the aid of your computer. I use to think the same way, then I learned how easy it is to start up a multitude of hobbies via a computer, along with communicating with people. So far, I've arranged for some old friends from Houston to come visit this summer. I've gotten a tablet and have been practicing drawing. Using GIMP, I've done basic skinning for source games. Audacity for audio editing. You can write short stories or view the news. Expand your window. Also, you can get a job online too. tl;dr: Your fault. :v:
The amount of wisdom in the post made my eyes bleed rainbows.

And what do you want us to do?
^ This, then go outside. Start to exercise, try your best at school, try to cook and help at home. There is a lot you can do. Darn ninjas
Go outside Twice. Fuckin twice.
Apparently so did English class.
The easiest (sometimes the only) way to stop being addicted to something, is probably to find something you enjoy more. Something that is better; a hobby of some sort or so. Even just to do so can be very hard though.
Get out of the house. Go visit friends, get a job, talk walks, ect. It's really rewarding.

No, my pc has killed my life
It is never the object that ruins your life. It is the use of the object that ruins your life. You chose to use your pc, and by your choice you are demolished.
did you upgrade your bios
Go outside with a laptop [editline]05:52PM[/editline] But seriously, just live your life however the fuck you want
I have this very addiction prone trait that can often get the better of me, and ruin my plans for a whole day. If I manage to force myself to open up the book I'm writing in OpenOffice, and then type a few sentences, then I'll generally be able to get through the next 1,500 words I want to write for the day, and then I'll be able to go out for a walk, or maybe do my homework, depending on my motivation at that moment for doing shitty assignments. One small thing can really imbalance me. For a long while, the computer I typed on was a different one from the laptop I had to use for the internet. Just a few days ago, I got my typing computer set up with wifi finally, and that put three whole days entirely down the drain. My new internet connection coincided with a bad cold. At least ten hours of computer time were spent during each of those days, and the sad thing is that most of those ten hours was spent refreshing only a few different pages (including Facepunch). I'll be the first to tell you that Television, competition, and internet are a huge fucking waste of your time and energy. I know for sure because there's a marked difference between the great feeling I get after being productive, and the awful headache I get when I relapse into internet, or god forbid, Team Fortress 2. All I can say is this: if there is something you really feel like you want to be when you grow up, then start now. School isn't going to do anything for you, and neither will a, "Social," life. The only thing that will get you where you want to be is diving straight into it, with a minimum of planning. You wanna be a coder? Use your computer for good, and learn some C+, or HTML, or Flash or whatever. You wanna be a movie maker? Whip out that shitty old SD digital camera, and start making videos anyway. What really counts is the angles and content anyhow. Wanna be a writer? WRITE SOME FUCKING WORDS. Right now I feel really bad, actually, because I AM on Facepunch.
pc have also ruined your grammar
the pc have also ruined- you motherfucker
Do chores around the house, do your homework, I was in the same situation. Become more social and make better friends. Take simple steps. Also:
You're addicted.

Or get Linux.
That won't solve anything. I should know, I'm screwing with my conky right now.
The answer is simple: MAKE YOUR PC YOUR LIFE!
What is this ''life' you speak of ?
yeah, where can I download one?
