These were the absolute shit back in the day.
you came to the wrong thread motherfucker
Hey now they were pretty fuckin rad. They had the nice natural looking ground plates, Lego didn't make any large ground pieces that weren't rectangular. Despite the obvious color differences, the Mega Bloks castle sets were the only ones I could stand to play with next to my Lego. They earned the honor of being the bad guys for my knights to flail on.
plus, dragons
Okay, the megabloks castle sets were the least heretical (and thus the best) megabloks set and I kind of give them a pass because of the badass weapons...
but it's still fairly goddamned heretical.
The root of the heresy is in the design of that set; its mostly big prefab walls and shit that you can't do a whole lot with other than build walls. Lego castles (and most other things) had a lot more small pieces that could be used for whatever you wanted. If it wasn't for that they'd be much more acceptable IMO.
That's true. Megabloks went overboard with prefab pieces, Lego's been falling into the habit since the turn of the millenia, but they're still alright about it. Megabloks is ridiculous about them though. That set in Lego would have +500 pieces at least.
the only megablocks i liked/owned

i still have 4 of those somewhere, including that one
i had every single first gen, second gen, boraks, borak kals, and rakaashi
He may not have the best editing/spelling, but damn this is a good gun.

They were cool when I was like 12, I was busy playing with them, not analyzing them. I wouldn't touch that set now, I was just commenting on how fun they were when I was young.
Ahhhhh...
I miss my lego army.
It consisted of about 5sq. ft. of identical military camps and a whole mess of APC's and half-tracks
Now all that's left is about 1 bunker, 7 infantry men, and an old WW2 style APC that is missing the loading ramp.
I feel like i should go to my storage and dig up my little army just so it can go back on display.
My Parents bought me over £200 worth of Star Wars Lego for Christmas when I was 7. Good times.
My cousin's boyfriend works for Lego. He sent me and my dad some lego kits, star wars ones. I recieved the little hoth rebel and Imperial sets and my dad recieved the Echo base set.

Hilarious and fucking awesome.
So I've been pretty busy recently.

Anyone have the old Bionicle movie? I still have a VHS copy of it. It was great.
Mask of Light I think it was.

I had the VHS of it, but that broke and was thrown out. I've got all three on DVD now.

Only good megablocks set (not my pic):

The only Megablocks set which didn't had terrible plastic bits that always flew off. Oh, and it was fuckhueg, too. So you could use the ship bits to make a nice base for a fortification, and then use the lego pieces for details.
But otherwise, Lego was just better quality wise. Prices are still exorbitant.

Is this intentionally a blank image ? :v:
It's pretty sweet, my cousin is a "Youtube Partner" and gets paid by them to post monthly reviews on the latest sets.
He uses the money that he gets from Youtube to purchase more LEGO sets and get more money, and the cycle repeats itself. Essentially, he hasn't had to pay for LEGO sets for about two years :v:
Didn't know this existed, so here's a link to the LEGO General I made: http://facepunch.com/threads/1177152?p=35555508#post35555508
I dunno, it has some neat images pertaining to the new Marvel sets V:v:V

Holy SHIT LEGO DEADPOOL
Holy SHIT LEGO DEADPOOL
Best part is, the set seems really affordable. It's like $20 or something and you end up with Wolverine, Deadpool, Mag-Fuckin-Neto, Wolverine's Motorcycle, and Deadpool's Helicopter (not to mention, every single one of these minifigs is exclusive to this set).
If you ask me, it's a damn fine example of an investment set.
Preordered that one and the Captain America Motorcycle.
May can't come soon enough

I'm still wondering where Magneto's curly moustache is at.
This has probably been posted before, but it is pretty cool so I'll just leave it here.

I got two of these kits like one year apart, didn't return one cause it kept me busy for a good week or so. I gave all my legos/megablocks away to a home for kids that don't have parents or a safe place to call home. They got 6 large tubs of legos and I always get hugs and thank yous for all of my old toys I've donated.

I built this thing with actual pieces (and different colors) then redid it on LDD.
Looks much better like this.
I hate to say this, but I took the 'rhino horn' from an Exo-Force set.
Anyone have a Lego Millennium Falcon? Me and my dad built one over the weekend. Felt awesome.
I made this (one of the simpler custom things I've done, but I love the hell out of it).

Have it sitting right next to my Home One set (ie. contender for the absolute best set ever).
I also got an AT-AT, which I spent all of Christmas 2010 building. My back hurt like a bitch afterwards :v:
Have a willy's jeep I made then souped up
