I really wish they'd kept the barcodes for the collectable figures. I've found a place with massive stock of series five (a whole series I missed) but nowhere has the dot list thing for the end-of-line batch. So while I'm trying to get Lizard Suit Guy, I'm stuck getting whammies like the eighties fitness instructor.
Hey, Minotaur! That's pretty cool! Now c'mon, Leprechaun, Alien, Lizardman...

Hey.... Cavewoman.... literally the worst one out of all of them.... heyyy...
Heres all my shit, I must've got bored maaany years ago and rebuilt some of my Bionicle (and some of my brother's, woops!) into unusual things (one of them was just all the legs attached to one part like a catapillar, what the fuck)
See if you can spot what the legos are :v:
(sorry bout blurriness in first few, camera was a bit dusty and only realised by last few pictures)

I've had my eye on this gem for a while.
I have all of the other modular buildings, and this one is definitely the best looking yet.
The only problem is, I'm a little strapped for cash, and I think 19 is a bad age for legos to be high on your priority list.
Not saying it's possible to outgrow legos, just saying that with college and stuff, it's a bad time.

latest creation, pretty happy with it except the knee joins are too weak to support the tanks weight, he needs a stand to prevent himself falling over.

dude, i
i had that Naboo starfighter and that X-Wing
and that Life On Mars mech and that original snowspeeder kit, my parents got it from stockholm, and i always wanted that AT-TE
jesus christ man you just brought back my childhood
Do you guys have any recommendations for really fun builds? Last one I really enjoyed was the Green Grocer, and I don't really like any of the current buildings(pet shop is the only one I find mildly interesting). Birthdays coming up, I need a new model to build. Anyone have the Sopwith Camel? Thats top of the list for me right now
Lego Alpha Team:

That was a damn epic game for me when I was little.
Also, Lego Racers 2:

These were some badass games for me when I was little.
I miss Lego games so much. I'd love to play Lego Racers 3.
HOLY FUCK HOW COULD I FORGET LEGO ISLAND.
Lego Island 1 had a big impression on me as a kid, and I really loved the atmosphere in the game, and I didn't gave a fuck about graphics. I was in eiphoria when I saw the minifigs interacting with me and stuff, even though the racing in the cave pissed me off, because there was a huge skeleton, and ghosts 'n' stuff.
Lego Island 2 was much better for me back then than the first one, and I loved it even more than first one, but it had a shitload of bugs...
Also, what about the Bionicle series? I stopped following it's comics and once, they just dissappeared from magazines and a Hero Factory appeared...
Lego Island 3 coming in 2048 exclusively to PC
I was looking at the Lego website at all the new stuff that's getting released and JESUS FUCK LEGO IS EXPENSIVE NOW.
I was looking at the Lego website at all the new stuff that's getting released and JESUS FUCK LEGO IS EXPENSIVE NOW.
Smallest set here, in Latvia, costs at least $10. e.g. Pikaras cost $20 each.
Also, what about the Bionicle series? I stopped following it's comics and once, they just disappeared from magazines and a Hero Factory appeared...
They decided to end Bionicle after the lore became unpopular (and shitty) later on. Hero Factory is a crappy "spiritual successor".
"HAY GUISE, LET'S MAKE MATA NUI AN ACTUAL SET NOW! OH WAIT, LET'S TAKE AWAY ALL HIS GOD POWERS SO HE CAN BE 'BALANCED' IN TERMS OF LORE!"
Legos were my childhood, wish I had the sets from the '90s.
Legos were my childhood, wish I had the sets from the '90s.
Those sets which later on became part of Lego Island...I have a small piece of an old old catalog somewhere, and I can see there some things from Lego Island...
I wouldn't read too much into this.
While attending Brickcon this past weekend, I took advantage of the opportunity to talk to Kevin Hinkle, the bridge between the fan community and the Lego Group. In general we just chatted about Lego, Cuusoo, and random things. At one point, however, I did mention that'd I'd like some sort of official word on Bionicle's status within the company, so I asked him to say that Bionicle is never coming back, just to quell the rumours. His response?
"I can't say that."
Naturally this was a bit confusing. Of course this question came after the trick one in which I asked him to say that "the Bionicles is never coming back," just to frustrate the grammar sticklers among us. I thought it was established that Bionicle is dead and gone, but Kevin said that he cannot establish with absolute certainty that it won't be coming back someday. He did confirm that Bionicle won't be returning next year however. What do you think? Is this just another absurd rumour? Is he simply saying that he can't predict the future? Does this mean we're going to see Bionicle's return in 2014? Let the rumours commence!
Yes.
YES.
Does anyone know what the Bionicle monster which had the mask in this picture

(The like tatty one on the left)
I remember getting them for Christmas and almost shitting myself with excitement as one of the two had two of those masks on it.
When you pushed your thumb on the back their necks would extend making them lunge and bite.
I've spent ages wiki'ing every character but I can't seem to find them which is weird because I recall them being rare and sought after.

HOLY SHIT! Toas!!!
But I can't remember this black one's name...I remember that he had a power of digging, and in Toa Matau, he could make a drill out of his weapons.

That'd be Onua.
[editline];[/editline]
Why was it that only the first series had the awesome angular and stylized masks, and after like, Toa Nuva they just got mushy and rounded?

Haven't had LEGO in many years but I remember exactly the name of the set you're talking about.
Muaka and Kane-Ra.

Oh my God thank you so much, this has been doing my nut in for days.

Sexy beasts, I forgot they had caterpillar tracks.
I took one of them to junior school and one of the masks ended up on the roof (I don't remember how) so I said to the cleaner that my bag got thrown up there, he went up on a ladder and couldn't find a bag obviously so he sent me up and I got my mask, got down then ran away.
I haven't touched my giant tub of lego in years. It used to be top of the christmas list every year, when they made the sets at least fairly cheap. Even so, I'm quite sad to see it all go, for a mere pittance that my family's going to use to field the extra thirty quid of rent me being 16 and out of a job has incurred. A moment's silence for that glorious red tub of 10 kilos of the finest damned toys ever built.
EDIT: oh dear pageking, sorry haven't got anything significant to post here.
Reading this thread made me remember that I've had a Lego.com account since around 2004, and dear lord I haven't logged on in years.
[EDITLINE]LOL[/EDITLINE]
I just logged in right now, it's sad to see some parts of the Bionicle section is gone.
Anyone a fan of TMNT?

I really hope this series has a Technodrome, I'd buy the shit out of that.
You know what Lego should do?
Licensed "Creator" kits.
Like, big tubs filled with assorted bricks, but with new themes.
For example, have a DC Creator Kit; it comes with a bunch of pieces that could be used to make Batman vehicles and the like.
Or a TMNT Creator Kit; it comes with all 4 turtles, some bad guys, and a bunch of bricks that would work to make stuff like vehicles and weapons and stuff, maybe include some of these NYC-Themed pieces too.
Hell, I'd buy it, if only to make a big Lego version of Krang's robot body.

All the pieces from first ever Toa's to the final Bionicle sets.
Also, I had a passion for Pirakas, so I had all six Pirakas(by all, I mean those which were sold in tubes). But later on I found out that there is a "Golden" Piraka...
