Why the flick missile though ? :v:
as soon as they made the piece they went insane with it, but i'll probably leave the tree and use the figs and speeder, they're the only reason i'm getting it
This thread made me go get this since I had the old Ewok set
I've been wanting to get into LEGO again. What's a good, but cheap, set that gives me a good amount of normal bricks?
I've been wanting to get into LEGO again. What's a good, but cheap, set that gives me a good amount of normal bricks?
Where I live you can just buy big containers of mixed blocks, If you want a lot of normal bricks.
Seeing as people are posting some of their favourite sets, I'll post mine: This is my favourite: It was one of the last sets I got hold of, but it's the oldest one I own. Absolutely awesome though: spinning/tilting rotors, winch, retractable undercarriage... Forget the shitty boat thing. Why the hell would you build a boat, when you could build a helicopter? And I'd say this is my second-favourite (continuing the helicopter/boat theme): It was my first set, so it's responsible for getting me into Technic. At the time I thought it was amazing, although looking at it in hindsight it's pretty basic. I think it came out around the time that they started reducing the complexity of their sets and started going for gimmicks. The one set that I've always wanted, but never got round to tracking down, is the legendary 8880. Fuck me, that thing was amazing. One day I'll get one off Ebay, but they're pretty expensive and of course the asking price just keeps going up as time goes by. I don't think Technic gets the love that it deserves these days.
Wow I found this in my shed with all the pieces

Oh my fucking god, I had the republic gunship (7163) so I was looking for it to take a picture because last I checked, it was in the closet and collecting dust. Apparently, my mom threw it out :suicide:

The funny thing with Lego/Legos, is that it seems to be only people from the US who say Legos. At some point in the 70's-80's, Americans decided that there is such a thing as a Lego (a Lego piece), which is then pluralised by adding an s. Some people say that it's easier to say, but I don't see how. You need loads of them to do anything interesting, so using a mass noun (like sand, water, clay, etc.) makes more sense.
just purchased this for £12.99 it's a great set for display, new parts for me include 2 Endor Troopers, 1 Scout trooper and a new Storm Trooper torso and head not great for building, only took me about 10 minutes the speeder is great and the tree isn't as bad as i thought it would be, Lego really made this set the best it could be 9/10 the only problem is the price, not bad at £12.99 but the BattlePacks i purchased before were £10 each, also the flick fire missile is awful

"I got one LEGO piece."
I got a lot of bread
Okay here goes my collection, this is about 13 years of collecting. So to begin, My rarest set is probably the Super Car (8880) set released in 1994 I almost own all the parts since it was bought second hand, but at the moment it isn't complete. Next if some of you remember Lego released these Spybot sets, pretty neat for a while, yet never really played with it much. To lazy to post other images, find them here: http://imgur.com/a/apmbj
I've wanted 8880 since it first came out, but it was always too expensive for my parents. Now that I could afford it myself, I don't know if I want it enough to buy it. I'm not sure nostalgia is enough of a reason to fork out that much.
I just fixed my Darth Vader TIE Fighter. I'm proud of myself.
Guess who found their original 6 toa? I can die happy
DUDE YOU ARE A GOD ... I only got Tahu.
Got all 6 original Toa. Never liked the newer ones. Just missing 4 Throw-bots now.
Oh Lego thread.... I have like 2 treasure chests stuffed with Lego and a few complete set Mindstorm. Also i used to fix some of the moulds for Lego at my old job. I remember i was sitting at work and "inspecting" the bricks for thr moulds.
Got all 6 original Toa. Never liked the newer ones. Just missing 4 Throw-bots now.
I only got the Toa Metru complete. That's the only Toa line I got all Toa from.
Going to the lego store today, I'll tell you guys if we pick anything up *unc unc*
Didn't get anything at the LEGO store :C Everything is so fucking expensive
If Lego stuff was cheaper, I'd own way too much.
Personally I have the 8110 - Unimog 8258 Crane Truck 8458 Silver Champion (With chrome Original tyres/Rims) 8053 Mobile Crane 2x 8070 Super Car 8043 Motorized Excavator 8466 Off-Roader (With chrome Original tyres/Rims) 8297 Off Roader 8455 Back Hoe Loader (Pneumatic Version.) 8069 Backhoe Loader (Linear Actuator version.) 8049 Tractor +Log Loader and the 8051 Motorbike Aswell as a lot of electric power function parts and extra ordered parts. They're all disassembled and placed into my toolbox sorted into parts boxes. Like this one but black. [editline]9th March 2012[/editline] Its not that lego is expensive, its that it takes up way to much space.
