Lego is still super popular. The sets aren't nearly as good as they used to be, but you can still find a couple gems if you look hard enough.
Favorite lego game was Lego RockRaiders :

I wanted this playset so bad I still never got it :(
I remember my first lego set was just a box of large toddler-safe pieces in no particular shape or consistent colour.
Many lego sets came and went since then (desert temple shaped like a skull - hell fucking yes) but none of them had the same magic as those pieces that you could make anything out of. More recent lego is too specialised and pre determined, I miss classic pieces that you can build anything out of.
Also Lego Island was a great game.
I played Lego Island 2 first, and I just got to playing the first one recently. Not being able to walk on the grass kinda bugs me though.

This? Cause I killed a lot of hours on this too when I 'outgrew' my Lego games. I had a train obsession for a large portion of my childhood and I always wanted to build myself a proper model railway. This game was a pretty good substitute for a long time.
