The Swine flu is nothing to joke about, and nothing to take unseriously. Many experts, pediatricians, scifi experts that also study medical health are saying this could be the *big one*. I'm pretty worried myself.
I'm mildly concerned that you're taking pediatricians (who specialise in child care rather than the epidemiology and virulence of infectious disease) and sci fi experts (?) as credible sources on this.

Isometimes hate that I live near a big city (chicago). All diseases pass through here eventually.
Wait, why did you lock the Swine Flu Guide? That was the first post on the subject and it had great info and updated statistics...
I'm also pretty skeptical if this is natural, which I seriously doubt. How does Swine Flu, Human Flu, and Bird Flu just *mutate* into each other. It's quite possible somebody could have genetically created this.
I think someone's watched a few to many movies.

Hezzy was kind enough to post my OP The viruses sort of transfer genetic information to one another, and it combines. The reason nobody can combat this version of the 'flu is because it is so different to the last batch, since its antigen just switched suddenly. Most diseases are subject to a drift, meaning it only changes slightly and then can be combatted. The whole point of influenza being so deadly is that it can switch randomly. And grow up. What possible motive would anyone have for infecting Mexicans with super flu?
Me too, and if I died, I think the world would go into chaos. Time to get cracking on my avatar.
How are you going to put Gas Mask on it? It's huge. And it has no noise.
i dont know why you are worried about dying anyway. its not like any of you are actually going to achieve something in life.
I am worried about this abit, for i have a 4 year old sister, hope i or my family gets it just Definatly not my sister.
Why? Than she will have to grow up whoring herself off in the Post-Apocalyptic world.
i dont know why you are worried about dying anyway. its not like any of you are actually going to achieve something in life.
Because I'd like to see my nephew grow up, I'd like to raise a family of my own, I'd like to be able to do the things I want to do in the future.
Mexicans have a new soldier specialty: Mexicans with superflu.
By the media, not the people who do shit about it.
health experts are experts for a reason. they know much more than us and know what they are doing.
