I wonder what Garlic Beer tastes like...
2 weeks after first infection...
Who would've thought the mexicans would be the infected?
protip: we'll be fine
Spanish flu was maybe 100 or so years ago? in 1908-09?
I think that was the time people considered you infected with the plague if you didn't have mercury leaking out of your ears.
It was in 1918.
I just started a game of pandemic 2 with a virus Swine influenza and it started in mexico
I live walking distance from the mexican border.
Perhaps the deaths themselves weren't from the flu but mexico city.
It isn't known for it's air quality.
I have a sore throat, cough, and an uncomfortable level of intestinal problems. I must be covered in Swine flu. I probably don't have very long to live. Or I just have allergies and a bad diet.

How does the discussion of a potentially fatal disease spawned by pigs turn once again to the consumption of marijuana?

Judging from your avatar id say it was a bad diet.

Dunno, I myself am almost getting sick of how often weed comes up these days. But what can you do...
I hope madagascar dies first =_=
No, its already started in Mexico. Theres no way madagascar can get it unless we have heat resistance IV.
Pandemic alert level was just raised to 4. No point in trying to control the virus because it would be impossible to control it. It's just too widespread.
I need to get a gasmask for my avatar.
Well shit, I've been sick for a week and I have almost all of those symptoms.
I got a sore throat. Totally couldn't be allergies either.
:suicide:
I live in Texas, Houston, verrrrry neeeaaarrr Mexico.
God fuckit I want a face mask now, I don't care if I look weird with it going to school and work, I want to be safe.
Too late! It's already in Texas!
Sacramento California has two more confirmed cases. I'm buying a mask tomorrow.
LOL I'm on Mexico City and still don't wear mask, situation is exaggerated a lot.
I live within 20 miles of two swine-flu deaths. Fuck me.
Any confirmed deaths in the US yet?

Just.... fuck.
I'm getting a mask.
Worst case scenario... if everyone you know gets the bug... someone that you know will die. Most people will just get very sick.
Too many people are overreacting I think. I have a runny nose, coughing, and slightly sore throat, but I'm not panicking. I think it's just allergies, they come out at this time of year.
paranoia + allergies + influenza outbreak = people panic.
Also isn't the death rate less than 1%? I read that out of 1,000 infected only 80 died, and that was in Mexico, where the Healthcare sucks. Think of how it will be in the US with our system.

The Spanish Flu had a mortality rate 2.5 to 5%, and it is believed to have resulted in 50 million deaths.
