Don't we have a cure for this anyways?

No
Yes there is a cure they tested the cure that was created for bird-flu and its been confirmed to work, This swine flu stuff might be serious. It seems that if you take Tami-flu within 48 hours of symptoms, you'll be OK.

Tamiflu mostly fights against the symptoms and not against the virus itself. It sure slows the spreading
of the virus in your body down, but it is not a cure.

Some friends of mine from school have it
Take it easy guys.
Take care of your hygiene and try to be careful with the people you meet and you'll be fine.
If i get this I will make it my goal to give it to as many people as humanly possible.
It spreads like a motherfucker, it just kills so fast that it contains itself :v:
I hope someone shoots you in the legs so you can suffer if you contracted it for even contemplating something like that.
Stick sky news on, the WHO is holding a meeting about it, apparently the Spanish and Scottish cases are imported with the Mexican being community based, no word on the Canadian, significant steps have been taken to stop it but they didn't elaborate on it when I was watching, governments are being advised on what to do and to set up the appropriate facilities such as high level care in A+E, with this being the time to prepare, a hotline's been set up to make sure that the lines of communication don't die as they did yesterday and daily reports are to be given at 5am in each timezone, 4 labs are working on recreating the C virus to make a vaccine and it may be produced under pandemic production which would remove regular flu shots from production until it's supplied to everyone, Tamiflu is effective under lab conditions which no word from ground operations, there's rumours of China having cases with Russia and other soviet bloc countries restricting imports from Mexico, Israel radio is reporting that the cases there are confirmed and over 150 countries in 2005 had pandemic plans with more to have been made in the time gap between SARs and this.
People spreading shit on purpose should be shot imo :>

They wouldn't even have a chance spreading the virus, they would be put in quarantine in a matter of seconds.
I heard this shit is now waterbourne on the 6pm news..

According to the WHO it's only transmitted via human to human contact.

Begin firebombing there.
Just goes to show how horrible Mexico is. It's so dirty that even the pigs get sick.
I heard the US are shutting schools down. That sound awfully familiar. Oh, Madagascar hasn't closed it's borders yet! Around 150 people have died and the borders are still open. Well, it's said it comes to Iceland and half the nations will get it. Too bad the healthcare is great
That picture above me has 4 people trying to re-create the flu 0.0

How do people become infected?
People usually get swine influenza from infected pigs, however, some human cases lack
contact history with pigs or environments where pigs have been located. Human-tohuman
transmission has occurred in some instances but was limited to close contacts and
closed groups of people.
Taken from a FAQ that the WHO made.

Now it is correct :p
Oh fuck I always get paranoid when something remotely armageddon-y comes about.
Meteors, nuclear war, now this.
I don't think any of you know that the swine flu has been around for a long time. Its never went away when first sprang up years and years ago. The media has blown this out of paportions, causeing mass hysteria.
should i buy a gas mask?
should i buy a gas mask?
No, it won't help

Yes but it hasn't passed from pig to human and then human to human has it?
This swine flu shouldn't be called the swine flu anymore. This flu no longer needs animal vectors like the pig to transmit to human. It can already transmit from human to human. It should be RENAMED!
This swine flu should be renamed as the Central American Flu
i only found out about this because of this thread. doesn't seem that bad, why's everybody worried?

I propose we rename it the 4chan flu since it's being racist and only killing mexicans.
