Last time this happened more people died from the vaccinations then the actual flu.
well here in the UK, the NHS is stockpiling huge numbers of masks, we have loads of cases of swine flu, people have died, and its highly contagious, its going to make people worry, just let them worry.
In the UK there are 2 confirmed cases of swine flu, some unconfrimed cases and NO deaths so far. The only deaths we know from come from Mexico, and only 7 of them are confirmed so far. And the gouverments learnt last time the world hit a possible pandemic. Every gouverment has been stocking up medicine and personal protection ressources. It's just preparation in case something bigger will start and to calm down the crowd. Stop making panic
Last time this happened more people died from the vaccinations then the actual flu.
:what: Source please. RELIABLE source

I can't find anything about deaths caused by vaccine on this page. What they say is, that in a small percentage of people, an other disease may pop up, GBS. And that could cause death. Infact, they say that vaccine is safe.
Yes, it caused 500 deaths, the vaccine I mean and that caused a public panic. Better article on the last epidemic and why the immunization failed here. http://www.salon.com/env/feature/2009/04/28/1976_swine_flu/
Interesting story, sounds like the US gouverment just said: "there's virus, let's inject stuff in every citizen!!!1" It really sounds like they wanted to fight an invinsible monster with inappropriate resources. Well, Ford lost the next election because of this. Serves him right. (by the way: 500 GBS deaths, 40'000'000 vaccined people, mortality rate at 0.00125%. The virus has a significant higher death rate so far, but that will drop over time)
You had to have had the Flu one time or another. It's fucking dangerous if you haven't.
Technically everyone in the UKs had the flu since as a child you get flu jabs.
You do know the "average" flu has killed more people than the swine flu, right? And that this same strain of virus came about in the 70s while Ford was president? And the same bullshit was in the news? And everyone over reacted then? Guess what happened. Nothing. That was THIRTY years ago, I'd think we would have a few more defenses against it now. They're treating it with Tamiflu, so why don't you do some actual investigation instead of believing in all the shit they feed to you on the news. Yeah, some mexicans died. They got the flu and they have shitty healthcare, I don't see why tha'ts an issue.
Wrong logic. We can't create better defenses without having the virus. However, with everyone it infects, the Swine Flu creates better defenses against our immune system.
Germany just confirmed 3 cases of swine flu. Infected are between 22 and 37. All came back from a travel to mexico. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8024345.stm
Fuck it's coming towards me, FAST! To island peoples! Why are even letting peoples board the plane when they have a virus they should shoot every one.
God dammit. I want to learn about pandemic waves and why they happen. I can't seem to find anything anywhere about them. For the 1918 pandemic, virtually nothing is know because they only have strains of the virus from the second wave. I would have thought with later pandemics they might be able to find at least a possible reason for why waves occur.
You do know the "average" flu has killed more people than the swine flu, right?
Maybe because the average flu existed much longer.
