and then the second wave comes along in the autumn and kills hundreds of millions of people?
remember how sars, the avian flu, and west nile nearly wiped out humanity and remember when I said I thought I had pigflue, turns out it was a sinus infection no big deal
I'm still alive. This thing is getting more over hyped by the second. EDIT: Like Pvt. Ryan said, remember when we all died from Y2K, and the bird flu? Oh yeah, remember that awesome time when we all died from a nuke in the cold war?
remember how sars, the avian flu, and west nile nearly wiped out humanity and remember when I said I thought I had pigflue, turns out it was a sinus infection no big deal
Oh yeah, it was hilarious, everyone around me was sick or dead, and I had some chocolate... Ok, I really need some sleep, night everyone.
Also, remember how we all got attacked by Satan on 6/6/06?
Level 5. Well, I can see why people are worried, 'cos I'm worried, but I can see peoples opinions on how over hyped it is. That kid that died in Texas was visiting in mexico city... He contracted it and died of it, but he had other shit which gave him little chance of fighting it off.
I can't wait for my social studies class tomorrow. We're doing current events presentations. It's gonna be lots of fun to tell everybody that they're all paranoid idiots and nothing is going to come of this.

the best sign of people panicking about something used protective masks being sold on amazon
the best sign of people panicking about something used protective masks being sold on amazon
used? wtf
Swine Flu will kill the final person on December 24, 2012 :)

Kids that young can die from fevers, let alone the flu. The news != true. Also, look at my stylish new avatar. I had to get rid of the black outline, and the mask is much to realistic.
yes but I also remember reading this: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/eid/vol12no01/05-0979.htm and that's why it's better to be safe than sorry
I would like to think we'd have a bit more advanced anti-viral medicine than in 1918.
I missed some school last week because I had a fever and today in class three people wouldnt come near me because they thought I had the swine flu. This "pandemic" is total bullshit and everyone in the world is freaking out over nothing. Apparently putting the "swine" before flu makes the flu 20x more deadly. How stupid can people get? Thousands of people die in the USA alone of the influenza virus every year, why is this suddenly some big deal when one person dies? God DAMN.
I think the problem is that now that this is widespread, anyone with the flu is quick to be labeled as having swine flu.
I think the problem is that now that this is widespread, anyone with the flu is quick to be labeled as having swine flu.
and half the world is comprised of losers who think swine flu = death on contact
Also, remember how we all got attacked by Satan on 6/6/06?
Oh, remember when we were attacked on 9/11/01? Oh wait, I'm doing it wrong.
remember how sars, the avian flu, and west nile nearly wiped out humanity and remember when I said I thought I had pigflue, turns out it was a sinus infection no big deal
This is wierd because it's genetically novel, unlike avian flu is transferable from human to human and is extremely infectious. Plus as a H1N1 strain it's similiar to the 1918 flu epidemic. Governments probably should be more cautious about giving out antivirals if it becomes more widespread though, to prevent resistance building up. The key phrase: BETTER SAFE THAN BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. In fact, everyone getting really paranoid and quarantining themselves from each other is great from disease control and prevention perspective.
*talking about first post's map* What do the colors meen?
*talking about first post's map* What do the colors meen?
Why don't you go look at the key? :downs: (i.e. check wikipedia, search 2009 H1N1 Outbreak)
