It was proven it does not spread by swine meat consumption. I am almost sure it doesn't even spread between swines.
Even better!
I thought I had it today, but I remembered that my buildings fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and I stood outside for an hour, so that's probably why I feel like shit. I had all the symptoms over the past few days. Diarhea yesterday (I don't know why). Aches the past few days (it's been raining). Sniffles and sore throat today (was outside for an hour when it was 45ºF outside wearing only shorts). Hopefully not the Bacon Flu.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! I have all of those symptoms. Geez.
Haha, it's good to live in France, Australia or Madagascar.
Haha, it's good to live in France, Australia or Madagascar.
Or any other first world country with a stock of antivirals.
Tamiflu is the only one to heal from this, but you will not find it everywhere...
9 Confirmed 168 Suspected so wiki says.
The WHO, (World Health Organization), says only 7 people have died. I fucking hate media all the more after every big story like this. They exaggurate every part of a story to get more readers. EDIT: If you have access to basic antibiotics, and have good hygene, you should be able to beat this flu.

People will panic, thinking they have it, when really the have the normal flu, and get screened. Whenever I have the flu, I just wait it out, is that so hard?
Tamiflu is the only one to heal from this, but you will not find it everywhere...
we brits got lots of it so im not bothered about anyone else. im a heartless bastard :buddy:
GENEVA – The World Health Organization announced Thursday it will would stop using the term "swine flu" to avoid confusion over the danger posed by pigs. The policy shift came a day after Egypt began slaughtering thousands of pigs in a misguided effort to prevent swine flu.
I lol'd

People will panic, thinking they have it, when really the have the normal flu, and get screened. Whenever I have the flu, I just wait it out, is that so hard?
The chances are that most people would have normal flu, but to take a risk on it would be incredibly stupid. Or are people somehow magically meant to know if they have swine flu or not?
Low temperature doesn't make you ill, though it makes you more vulnerable.
It cut my sleep time drastically, which is another reason (with the addition of seasonal allergies). It's been a good day thus far. I wanted to have bacon on my sandwich with lunch, probably a good thing that the deli ran out before I got there. It would put me more at risk!!!! What news source are you all getting your information from? I've heard varying reports, and don't really trust any of them besides BBC, NPR, or the Associated Press.
OK guys I've got room for 4 more people in my airtight bunker. We're gonna have a L4D lan party to simulate the coming weeks. Who wants in?
this makes me crazy. i hope FINLAND dies out. fuck yes.
Oh by that time i hope you enjoy being burned alive in the flames of swineflu. (if this is counted as flaming i am still happy for posting it).
If you are in the UK, it is kinda hard to mix Swine Flu and normal Flu up. You can't get normal Flu in the UK at this period of the year. So if you have fluey symptons, there is a 95% chance you will have SF.
There was a elementary school closed in my state for a week due to this. One girl in my class was sent home because she had flu-like symptoms, and was around cheerleaders from Mexico last week. Doubt it's swine flu, but it'll make things interesting if it is.

The WHO's website is good as well, but tends to be a little slower in updating.
I find the wikipedia article to be pretty good, it's compiled from a variety of sources.
OK guys I've got room for 4 more people in my airtight bunker. We're gonna have a L4D lan party to simulate the coming weeks. Who wants in?
Go away.
My school district closed until the 11th because of 3 cases of swine flu.
This flu is blown way out of proportion

I haven't seen huge increases in the numbers of infected yet, suspected cases really ought to be tested immediately and information given soon - what's the point of it being frozen at roughly 200 people suspect infected?
I bet I can do a a lot jumping around in public saying I have the flu
My friend says he has swine flu, but I think he's telling porkies. porkies
I just saw the advert about it on tv, it's ridiculus how much people are worrying about this. It's just flu as long as you have an immune system you will be fine, its just like getting any other illness.
Apparently this flu dehydrates you more than the standard flu, and the flu vaccine that was normally distributed was for a different strand (may aid the breakdown of this one, but not guaranteed).
