Getting closer and closer to Massachusetts every day. I think Massachussetts should make a giant moat between us and New York. Stay out of MA, H1N1
Damn they just announced that my school is shutdown till may 11th (Texas, not telling where) because someone has it
Wow that sucks/is awesome. Also I edited your post.
My school got canceled from one week, when they announced over the intercom everybody started dancing and playing Iron Man on their instrument (I was in the band hall.) I also live in Texas, and if you do too, your probably going to know where I live.
I got the virus and then used my big muscles irl to beat it into a pulp.
No one around me is freaking out, it sucks. I don't want school to get closed for any amount of time, as I want to finish the tenth grade.
My avatar doesn't need protection.
In an interview a few minutes ago, Dr. Richard Besser revealed a new discovery behind the Swine Flu threat that could prove lethal. "We've been testing the patients who have had the H1N1 virus the longest. We've discovered a startling and lethal threat that has killed everyone it developed in." Besser is worried that this could cause the threat of a pandemic to become far more deadly. "The problem is, the virus is adapting to our immune system, and learning how we work. Each generation of virus is a little closer to knowing how to strike at us. Every death we've monitored so far has been caused by the same genetic mutation: the virus starts carrying knives." In an actual picture from the lab's microscope, we see that the virus is becoming more dangerous every day. Besser has stated that this is a problem, but that few people are near that point just yet. The real threat is that it might not stop here. "Up until now, the virus has only ever mutated knives, which has proved lethal. But if the H1N1 cells start forming guns, they could shoot through the stomach lining and actually shoot another person. This hasn't happened yet, obviously, but we're being careful. We strongly suggest the public wear Kevlar vests along with surgical masks when going outside."
I don't know about you guys, but I'm terrified. What do you think, Facepunch? (If you saw the other thread by the guy who got banned for not talking about swine flu in this thread: He copied this directly from my post in the OIFY. I saw that the response was postive though so I figured I'd re-post it here.)
if it reaches to lvl 6... oh gawd!!!!!!! everyone go commit suicide..
At my school everyone's making a pretty big deal out of it, much more than there needs to be. It's a fucking flu, and the number of infections in the United States is still staggeringly small, as far as I know. At least it isn't Spanish flu or some asshole with Ebola spitting on everyone in Times Square. On a side note, I figure it'd be hilarious to dress up in HazMat suits with a few friends, don gas masks and gloves and boots, and carry someone out of the school on a stretcher, making sure as many people as possible see. The rumors propagated by the uninformed would range from actually being a practical joke to mutant Swine flu, I'm sure.
