We got a letter around school today advising that anyone with any of the symptoms should stay home. But if i get it i know were im going, school, spread it around a little and we can have a couple weeks of.

swine flu has spread to iceland now apparently. Some guy got it and about 4 other people, all of them are in his family

It's been slowly creeping towards my school, first the primary school down the road got quarantined, then the one around the corner did, then the nearest high school as well, now it appears a boy in year 9 at my school has it. Fuck yeah, hopefully we get a week off now!

Two people at my school have it, but they're not going to close because: a) Exams are a week or two away. b) Most kids would end up going to the mall/out in public anyways which makes it pretty pointless if you're trying to stop the spread.

After almost 3 months swine flu has killed very few people outside of Mexico, and most of the people who have died in Mexico are living in already disease-ridden and crowded slums. Also, the few people who have died outside of Mexico have been in neighbouring countries. This will be about as deadly as a normal flu epidemic. It will kill a few weak, old or already diseased people. No need to worry... It's not like Swine flu is going to kill loads of people all of a sudden. If it was going to kill 4.6 million people it would have killed a lot more than it has by now.
