Like I said before, it is normal to feel bad after seeing the shit you saw. No amount of mental stamina makes you completely immune to seeing someone die right in front of you. If every paramedic who ever felt stressed from there work quit you would probably be riding to the hospital in the back of a fire truck.

My father was a doctor. Saw men with their guts hanging out, begging for thier mothers.

I have a friend who's an officer and that shit does get to you. He's not unstable or anything but he kind of zones out sometimes, probably has a few personal demons.
Take a vacation, talk to a therapist.
Starting a blog seems like a good idea, too. I'd read it.

Not the full extent of it. You'd start going "Man, am I insane?" but you probably wouldn't actually realize it.
Realize what people truly are. We don't live forever. There's little difference in dying today or twenty years from now. You go when you're supposed to go. There's nothing you can do to change that and if you weren't doing it, someone else would have to be so if you can find it within yourself to be strong, do it for yourself as well as every other human being on this planet.
