The Maldives is nice, they are soon to sink underwater so you might want to visit them whilst they still excist.
At the moment I'm swaying away from Cancun and towards the Dominican Republic.. any reason NOT to go for a resort in DR? I checked, and the hotel room also has an in room jacuzzi.
whether or not you have a good time in DR is very reliant on the weather. if the weather is bad you can be forced to stay in the hotel and their poor plumbing system is exposed. i.e your room gets flooded with shit. however, cancun gets hurricanes alots and the exact same thing can happen
Go to Belize. I go once a year because I have a bunch of family there. Their really nice to tourists too.
Nassau, Bahamas is really fun, Atlantis is there and the straw market (Bunch of souvenirs) (Best fun you'll ever have) Atlantis: Straw Market: Bunch of stuff (watches, movies) cheap, and they work :P ( Most of the time XD )
I'd go on the Carnival Cruise, I always hear that it's awesome.

All those copies of Gmod sold are being put to good use? Hawaii might be too far for you, but I would recommend it. Stay off of the main highways, though, as they tend to be extremely crowded. Try staying out of the city all together if possible.
I've been to Cancun and I thought it was centered too much on flashy things for tourists. You should see about taking a trip to Europe. You know, Germany, France, Italy. THAT would be awesome. Believe me, I've gone to all those places :smug:
Do NOT go on Carnival. Go on any other cruise line. I suggest Grand or Norwegian. Carnival blows asshole.
Do NOT go on Carnival. Go on any other cruise line. I suggest Grand or Norwegian. What was your bad experience?
I'd go on the Carnival Cruise, I always hear that it's awesome.
No. Grand Cruiselines are 300% better. Carnival sucks if you've ever been on other cruiselines.
Cancun is a really nice place. Went there a few years ago, and really enjoyed it.
I went on a Carnival cruise last year and it was perfectly fine. I even had a guy we called Dracula for a waiter (he was from Transylvania). I'd say, take a chance on Scandinavia, the Norwegian mountains are a magnificient sight. And not to forget Sweden, the land of many cultures, the land of refugees, the land of foreign monarchs, it is a wholly amazing country if you visit the right places. The Stockholm archipelago houses our capital, a museum dedicated to our biggest warship that when set afloat, sank. Otherwise try former Yugoslavia, it's one of the most beautiful European countrysides and makes some godly food.
Italian lakes or Venice. Though, I imagine they won't be particularly hot right now.
St. Croix is nice, not a lot of tourists and a lot of fun stuff to do. Great snorkelling, and theres some resorts around that keep you away from the high-crime areas. Just if you go dont go to frederiksted and dont take the scenic mountain road.
Scotland.
So I decided to go on holiday. I haven't been on holiday in 9 years - so I think I deserve it. I want to go somewhere sunny, with a nice beach. Somewhere pretty posh, without kids and scrubber families - but not that posh that it has dress codes and stuff. There will be two of us. We will be sharing a bed. I'm planning on blowing about £5000 on it total. I'm considering Cancun, Mexico. Hopefully people are still scared of swine flu, so it will be nice and empty. I've kind of scared myself by reading the negative reviews on sites like this, even though theres like 40 negative reviews and 1000+ positive. So. I'm asking for advice. What's the weather like in Canun right now, is it gonna be hot enough? It is cool? Got a better idea?
Cancun is very nice, well worth what you pay to go. You should also check out Jamaica, supposedly nice all year round.
Cancun is boring, don't go there
why does it need to have a beach when you'll never leave the bed room ;}
