Just a case of either forgetting what a term means or just plain stupidity.
Or just not hearing properly. The words are pretty close even when written. I was expecting some fancy mindtricks and smooth talking, but I just wasted 30 seconds of my life.
I wonder how many people you could convince to sign something with no information provided about what they are signing.

I believe more than half of the facepunchers here would agree with me that they would tap that smart chick.
They weren't forced to sign it. Is it excusable to sign something when you don't understand it?
They thought they did.
Holy shit this is making me ashamed of being a human.
If you consider knowledge of an archaic word that is no longer used a "high standard"
Suffrage is still commonly used. Obviously not in the US though.
I bet the term "School of excllence" was given away very easily.
Holy shit this is making me ashamed of being a human.
Stupid people exist, get over it.
School of excellence Not too high standards over there in the US, are there?
[editline]09:04AM[/editline] This is just sad, I can't believe they fell for this. They didn't even ask what the word suffrage menas.
I'm trying this at school.
There is a massive uproar in america over evolution being taught, and around half the country is determined to not teach human evlution at least, and at most avoid evolution.
I wonder how many people you could convince to sign something with no information provided about what they are signing.
A lot I suspect.
The ending was the icing on the cake. "End women's suffrage!! YEEEEAAAHH!!!!!
How did those women get to college?:/
I know about it too I just generally forget what it means until something like this pops up. If someone came up to me in the streets and asked me what it meant I'd probably have to think about it. Of course I'd never sign anything if I didn't know what they're talking about.
no ur stupid merican
To be honest I've got a feeling that if you made a petition about ending men's suffrage you'd get a very similar result. I'm sure you'd get people to sign women's and men's franchise as well, even though pushing this past some people would be a bit harder. It really depends on the mentality. Some nationalities tend to prefer to go with popular notions - hey a petition, that's gotta be cool right. Others tend to be very lax about anything to do with public happenings. A petition? Why should I care.
I would just like to state that I am definitely for women's suffrage.
Man most women are stupid, they DESERVE to suffrage.
