Driving inadequacy; why is it so hard for people to pay attention? - General

I hate parking lots mostly. Especially when people leave carts in the middle of spaces. I was trying to park in a space, stopped due to a cart sitting right in the middle. Shifted in to reverse and began to slowly get out of the space. The car next to then began backing up and just drove slowly into me, just enough to dent my car. I manage to park, get out to check the damage. The woman rolls down her windows and insists nothing happened and says it's all fine. I attempt to stop her so I can get the info needed and she just insists nothing is wrong and speeds off. I got the plate number though before she disappeared.

My dad is paranoid of going off the shoulder so he drives right on the fucking yellow line one time he ended up hitting mirrors with another truck and smashing the driver's side window and I swear to god this just made him drive even further into the other lane fucker seriously needs to have his license revoked asap

I took out my phone, took a picture of him and started recording his driving. As soon as he saw me pointing a camera at him, he accelerated off and we didn't see him again. I didn't have a plan to do anything with the footage, but it scared him I think.

I used to get annoyed at driving in the UK but after living in saudi arabia i'm ok with it. Seriously people over there drive like they want to die, 100's of accidents a day and it's written off as being alah's will. Wrote off 3 hire cars in a 2 year period and i'm careful!

Once I had just driven over the crest of this hill and there's this old tool in his car sitting on the wrong side of the road staring at some house for sale. I gave him a little toot and he just waved me off so I start holding down the horn. He gets pissed off and drives off like an absolute nutter (car's all over the road) looking pissed off even though he was stopped on the wrong side of the road just over the crest of a hill. It also shits me how people just pull straight out of streets or parks without even fucking looking to make sure no ones coming.

People who don't indicate/ indicate far too early are the most irritating whether your driving, cycling or walking. Also overtaking on hard shoulders, it is possibly one of the most dangerous things you can do but a lot of people do it anyways. Got a lift with a mate today and I honestly thought he was trying to kill us, I told him I'm never drivin' with him again but I don't think he believes me. There's been a bunch of times I've done stupid shit too though and I really wish I could do more than just slink away or give the wave.

My truck is big, fast, heavy, an loud. It has no safety features what so ever short of barely-legal seatbelts. But, in it's 39 years of life, it has never been in a wreck where it was it's owners fault. He'll, last week, I had some dumb bimbo fucking ram my rear bumper because the lights for the turning lane... 3 lanes away... Turned green and she though it was okay to go when we were actually going straight. The damage to her car was horrible. She floored it off the line, wrecking her hood, bumper, grille, and radiator support. My trucks bumper just had a dent and forced the bolts to come loose. Fucking stupid people.... I drive a 400 horsepower 4000lbs truck, and only had my license for 6 months and I am much better driver than 99% of the people in my area. Although I do love to you with people who tailgate me. Since my truck is loud, they can easily hear it spool down when they pull up behind me. It's so much fun to fuck with tailgaters...

Worst thing that I can't explain was a few weeks ago when I was parked in my uni paid parking lot (which was 90% empty and is massive) to write a final and when I left there had been no cars within 4 or 5 spaces around me. By the time I got back an hour and a half later there was this MASSIVE scrape-like mark running a third of the length of my car starting just above the back left wheel well, a dent just behind the left headlight, the front left corner of my bumper was all messed up and it looked like I had been moved forward by about half a meter. Like seriously, I have no idea what the hell could have happened but that shit was not there when I left and it was basically mauled without any information left around

But then again he's crashed twice, never checks his mirrors and seems to think a speed limit is like the minimum speed. also been caught speeding twice. Give it a year or so and he'll probably end up in a massive carcrash or be banned from driving so its cool (except the car crash) he also tailgates people at like 100 giving like 2-3 meters between our cars so if they brake at all we'd crash and be completely fucked, funny thing is he considers himself the safest driver out of my mates.

Just last night as I was driving home and about two blocks away from my house the car in front of me stops to turn left and being that it was a single lane in either direction with a curb I slowly stop and wait for the car to make the turn. Right after I stop some idiot in one of those giant oversized pick-up trucks not making any attempt to stop swerves around me over the curb, into the gravel and proceeds to blast past me scraping the side of my car. Unfortunately I couldn't see his plates because the car still hadn't made the turn and by the time I could move he was already more than a block away but it doesn't matter anyways the damage was minimal, only chipped/scratched the paint right at the edge of the wheel well which isn't enough damage to warrant fixing it.

Oh lord, bad drivers. I could just go on.

Almost had a accident monday, I was going to school, get into the parking lot, than turn into one of the lanes where my spot is. This car is going down the middle of a fucking two way lane, he sees me and goes to the LEFT to avoid me. I live in the US where you drive on the right side of the road... I avoid it by moving to left side of the road and going around it.

One of my friends likes to speed and everything but he's an incredibly good driver, I think the only real sort of accident he was in was caused by a foreign truck driver.

I hate people that signal a second before they turn. I thought you were supposed to give other drivers a bit of warning.

I hate to say it, but a lot of women see mt cause problems driving. Minor things like pulling out in front of me happens quite often, but seriously this one event just made me realise how little care other drivers seem to have for others: So there is a pedestrian crossing which is right on the edge of an open car park (no barriers at the side) So this woman driving a huge 4x4 decides to drive out of the car park (over the curb) and ACROSS this pedestrian crossing (so perpendicular to the road direction), before turning into the road and continuing off, blissfully unaware [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10518681/sillywoman.jpg[/img] I couldn't tell if she was lazy, stupid or blind

I just can't deal with people driving the same speed as the person next to each other on the highway. The left lane is for passing people not fucking about. Also why do we have a number of 4 lane divided highways that have a speed limit of 45 mph in my area? It's fucking crawling. She went into the turning lane of cars going in the opposite direction, went into the grass in the median, sat there, and waited for traffic on the highway (which I was on) to pass. She had a green light. Thankfully the turning lane was emtpy or else someone would have pulled up and had a head on collision.

I can't drive yet, but as a passenger I am irritated at the agression with what people drive

The only good advice to driving is to think that everyone else is stupid and incompetent. By thinking that, it can help you avoid situations in which you could get into an accident easily.

I was driving to work today on the highway. Going at about 60 or so. Some fuckhead comes up behind me, literally his car taps my back bumper, he pulls back a little, goes to the left lane, passes me and gives me the middle finger, drives about 30 yards (okay maybe not 30 but it was pretty close) ahead and brakes to like 20. I'd've fucking RAILED the back of his car if I didn't have ex-cops as parents and know how to drive like an officer and/or react really fucking fast. I pass him to the left and continue on. then the guy fucking gets in front of me again and goes 30. About a minute later he got pulled over. :v:

I hate people who don't merge until the last minute. Especially in heavy traffic. There's merge arrows in their lane for hundreds of feet and people try to make space for them but they just keep toodling along until their lane ends and suddenly they try to force their way in at the last minute.

I hate driving with my girlfriend so much. She's a good driver and everything, but she's way too cautious about [i]everything[/i]. She goes over speed bumps at 2km/h for BOTH sets of wheels and it's embarrassing, especially considering we have 4 different speed bumps at our high school. She doesn't know right-of-way, either. She cut two pedestrians off the other day while pulling out of the bank. She nearly hit one of them, too. She turned to me and was like "OMG did you see that? Those idiots almost walked in front of the car!" I raged so hard inside, but I knew it was better to leave it alone and not fight...
